School Rules
Absence from school• If your child is sick, please call to inform the
school.
General Office (6758 6472)
• MC or parent’s letter (valid reason) must be submitted the next day.
• MC for tests and examinations
• No MC = 0 mark for the test and examination.
Absence from school due to private matters
Recognised as valid reason:
• Compassionate reasons
• Pupil’s medical appointments (with doctor’snote)
• External, non-school related examinations andcompetitions
Absence from school due to private matters
Not recognised as valid reason:
• overseas family vacation
• birthday celebration
Homework• Essential part of child’s learning
• Volume of homework
- Subject teachers will ensure homework load is manageable
• Submission date
- Subject teachers will ensure adequate amount of time is
given for pupils to complete homework
• Date has to be written for all pieces of work
• Pupils will write their homework in Student Handbook
Teacher’s Expectations• Hand in homework on time.
• Bring thermometer to school every day.
• Forms to be signed and submitted before/ on the stipulated date.
• PE attire only on PE days.
Packing of school bags / Timetable
• Pupils are expected to pack their school bags according to the timetable.
• Trolley bags are discouraged.

SUGGESTIONS :
• Provide a conducive and positive environment
• Acknowledge and affirm your child’s effort
• Show an interest in your child’s progress
• Monitor your child’s homework – ensure that they complete all assigned work on time
LANGUAGES (English & Mother Tongue Language)
• Encourage them to read widely.
• Have conversations with them regularly –asking them for their opinions and views on current affairs/ things related to their daily lives

MATHEMATICS
Question 7 : Use of calculator is allowed.
Question 8 : Use of calculator is not allowed.
• Encouraging your child to do his/her corrections independently. Advise your child to ask his/her teacher if he/she needs help.
• Playing mathematical games / quizzes that reinforce memorisation of multiplication and division facts.
MATHEMATICS
• Encourage your child to revise the previous year concepts on a regular basis (For PSLE Science : all topics learnt from P3 to P6 will be tested)
• Try not to overload your child with unnecessary information. Questions tested will adhere to the Primary Science Syllabus
• Encourage your child to read non-fiction books
