Welcome! I am sad to say that this will be my last Emmanuel Express issue. I wish
I could stay and work with you guys, but my time here is ending. I am
giving up my position after this issue so that you guys can do what I did.
(Hopefully you take that the right way and don’t create a rival
newspaper!!) Anyway, enjoy the last issue of Emmanuel Express with me
in it.

Wedding bells by Ada, 2G
BIG News! Miss G got married! Miss McManus came to 2G earlier this term saying that we were
going to make bunting for Miss G. They said that if Miss G asked what they were doing, to say
that they were making cards for Mrs Brettell. Her real wedding was on the 2nd of June, when we
were on half term. You might not know anything about this but it is true. We drew drawings to
decorate her wedding – have a look!

Different monsters in Battle claw by Alexander, 2G
I’m Alexander from 2G and I’m writing to you about Battle Claw, which is my second favourite
film. Here are some images and information on the film. I hope you enjoy my article.
I think Battle Claw is the best video in the world. You have
to catch two small beasts in a claw and fuse them together
to make a mega beast as shown in this picture.
This is the ultimate fire
dragon, he can heat a house
into a fire house and the
house will explode.
by Sama, 5Mc
On Ascension Day, every child wrote a prayer that was
special to them, asking God to look after them. The
prayers were tied to a bunch of balloons that we let go
into the sky.
Everyone was excited watching the balloons take off into
the sky, getting smaller and smaller as they flew away.
People
started to talk and wonder about where the
balloons would end up.

Avengers Infinity War Cinema
Recommendation
By Leon and Nikan, 5W
Avengers infinity war is the top selling 2018 movie of this year,
following the actors
Such as spider-man, or Tom Holland, Captain America, known as Chris
Evans, Thor as Chris Hemsworth, Iron Man as Robert Downy Jr, Black
Panther as Chadwick Boseman, but in this article there are no spoilers
since the movie is quite
sad and emotional, so grab
your tissues and popcorn
and enjoy it in cinemas all
across the world.
In Avengers infinity war, the Avengers are going on a dangerous mission to defeat the almighty
Thanos or as his nick name, purple pumpkin, we say that he gets his funny nick name by his
appearance, there are several mysteries about this movie, like the 1st one on how the Guardians of
the galaxy are featured in this top selling movie, Guardians of the galaxy is a different era and is
a sure surprise for them to come into the second infi- WOAH WOAH sorry too far! Find out in
the next movie. If we had to rate this movie out of 5, we would rate it a 5.

Summer coolers by Freya and Sama, 5Mc
Chocolate frozen yoghurt 50g caster sugar
200g low-fat natural yoghurt
1-teaspoon vanilla extract
2 teaspoons cornflour
350ml light or fat-free evaporated milk
85g plain chocolate chips
1. Stir together the cornflour and sugar, and place in a
saucepan. Stir in the evaporated milk and chocolate
chips.
2. Cook over a medium heat until chocolate is melted
and the mixture is thickened. Stir constantly to
prevent burning.
3. Remove the mixture from the heat, and stir in the
natural yoghurt and vanilla. Refrigerate until chilled.
4. Pour mixture into a plastic tub and freeze until set
Homemade Lemonade
5-8 mint leaves
Two lemons
1500 millilitres of cold water
Three heaped teaspoons of sugar or more if you prefer
a sweeter lemonade
1. Juice the lemons. It is sometimes helpful if you roll the
lemons so it is easier to squeeze.
2. Add the sugar and wait until it dissolves then pour in the
water.
3. Put in the ice cubes and tear up the mint. For a stronger
mint flavour, blend it up and add it to the lemons in step
one.
Mango and orange ice-lollies
Two oranges
One ripe mango
Makes 6 x 2 ounces ice lollies
(Depending on size of fruit used)
Method
1. Wash and prepare the fruit
2. Juice oranges
3. Blend the mango flesh and orange juice
together
4. Pour puree into ice-lolly moulds and then freeze
7
Raspberry ripple ice cream
225g caster sugar
250g raspberries plus extra to serve (if you like)
2 large eggs, plus 4 egg yolks
600ml of double cream
Sliced mango sprinkles or cones to
serve
Method
1. Place the raspberries and 2 tablespoons of the sugar
in a small pan. Cook on a medium heat until sugar
dissolves. Simmer for 5 minutes until thickened then
push through a sieve and discard the remanding seeds
[after the process is finished].
2. Place the eggs, egg yolks and remaining sugar in a bowl. Whisk with an electric whisk to combine,
then place over a pan of gently simmering water- make sure the pan is not actually touching the
water.
3. Beat with the electric whisk for 3-4 minutes until thick and pale. Remove from heat and
continue beating until cool.
4. In another bowl, whisk the cream until it forms soft peaks, and then gently fold into the cool
egg mix until just combined.
5. Pour the mix into a shallow container or dish that can be frozen.
6. Freeze and then eat!
Iced tea
1. Pour four cups of boiling water over two teabags into a heatproof pitcher and leave for
three to five minutes.
2. Remove the teabags, and sweeten to taste by adding a little sugar. Stir in six cups of ice cubes
until melted, or use four cups of cold water. Add in
freshly cut lemon slices for an extra citrus zing.
3. Bring a little tropical colour to your brew by adding
slivers of fresh fruit like pineapple, peach, and kiwi to
the iced tea along with half a cup of sugar syrup. By
leaving the fruit to soak in the tea for a few hours, you’ll
be left with a wonderfully tangy mixture. Plus, you can
eat the marinated fruit at the bottom of your glass for a
juicy bonus.

Ramadan by Lameese and Zahra, 5W
Ramadan is one of the Five Pillars of Islam. The month is spent by Muslims fasting during the
daylight hours from dawn to sunset. This year it started 16th May for 30 days. Ramadan is about
cleansing yourself and giving the Qur’an and to feel like the unfortunate ones as they cannot
afford food and water like ourselves
EID
After Ramadan we celebrate with Eid Al Fitir take time to
thank god for giving us a family and friends we also pray for
the unfortunate.
