THIS WEEKEND: Washington State which has won six of its last nine will host San Jose State in a four-game series starting on Thursday... also on Thursday, the conference leaders and No. 2-ranked Bruins will host California, having won its eighth-straight series (over USC) last weekend... starting on Friday, Arizona is at No. 20 Oregon State, who has a 14-2 record in Corvallis... Oregon is at No. 10 USC, as the Trojans dropped its weekend series of the year (seven in a row)... Utah is at Stanford with the Utes three wins away from the most wins in conference play since moving the needle to 11 teams. Stan-ford won its first series since late February last week... No. 5 Arizona State is at Washington with the Sun Devils boasting seven regulars batting over .310 and hitting .303 as a team.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: USC’s Bobby Stahel has a Pac-12 best 18-game hit streak heading into the weekend, he is one of eight players with a hit streak of 10 or more entering the weekend, which includes Arizona’s Bobby Dalbec (11 games) Pac-12 batting leader Scott Kingery (10), ASU’s Andrew Snow (13), David Greer (12) and Brian Serven (10) , Washington’s Branden Berry (13) and Washington State’s Wes Hatten (11)... UCLA has a 1.96 ERA against 15 Pac-12 opponents this season and a .982 fielding per-centage. The Bruins have also struck 141 in 138 innings (Arizona State is second at 110 strikeouts)... Arizona has a Pac-12 high .304 average and league best .983 fielding percentage in Pac-12 games... California (15) and Arizona (13) are the only Pac-12 teams in conference play with double digit homers... UCLA’s David Berg has yet to allow a run in 11 Pac-12 games (19.0 innings) with six saves... USC’s Bobby Stahel is hitting .537 in 12 Pac-12 games, nearly 70 points higher than Scott Kingery at .469 (and .463 overall).

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: STANFORD’s Zach Hoffpauir homered three times and had three multi-hit games and WASHINGTON STATE’s Joey Pistorese struck out eight in a complete game win to earn the Pac-12 Conference’s Player and Pitcher of the Week honors.

This is PISTORESE’s (Kalispell, Mont./Flathead HS) second-straight weekly honor of the season. The senior lefthander pitched a six-hit-ter, struck out eight and walked one, and allowed three runs against Washington. Pistorese has secured four complete games this sea-son, tying him for the national lead. The Southpaw is 5-3.

HOFFPAUIR (Glendale, Ariz./Centennial HS), who recently returned from injury, slugged three homers in the series victory at California and hit at a .421 clip over five games. He drove in six of his 10 weekly RBIs on Saturday in a wild 11-10 victory for the Bears. The two-sport, Hoffpauir homered in the eighth and ninth innings to help tie the game at 10-10. He also drove in three as part of a three-hit afternoon on Sunday, which included a double and a homer. In 10 games Hoffpauir is hitting .263, with all of his homers and RBIs coming this past weekend.

NATIONAL RANKINGS: In Baseball America, Pac-12 leader, UCLA (25-7) is No. 3, Arizona State (23-9) is No. 7 and USC (26-9) is No. 10. In Collegiate Baseball, UCLA is No. 2, ASU is No. 5, USC is No. 13 and Oregon State (23-11) is No. 20.
