(CCHD) are at significant risk for seriouscomplications if their conditions are not diagnosed
soon after birth, preferably even before the baby is born. The babies who are diagnosed
with such critical cardiac problems should be delivered at a centre where such complications can be taken care of.

The department consists of a team of Paediatric Cardiologists to provide supportive treatment of heart diseases to the unborn, growing and developing children. To treat and examine patients efficiently and provide all-around patient care, Paediatric Cardiologists work with a wide range of specialists which includes General Paediatrician, Paediatric Surgeons, Paediatric Intensivists, Anesthesiologists,Gynaecologists as well. Our aim is to provide your child with advanced treatment so that along with paediatric specialists, patients must be able to visit another consultant if required under the same roof. Early diagnosis of the cardiac problem among children is essential. Cardiac problem among children is evaluated here through non-invasive tests like ECG, Chest X-Ray, Echocardiography. For mothers-to-be, we have a dedicated fetal department in the hospital where all the necessary ante-natal investigations including fetal echocardiography is available.
