Plumbing - Invest in a plunger. Flush only
toilet paper. Other materials can clog pipes. If
your toilet overflows, remove the tank lid and
push the flapper down into the bottom of the
tank. Shut the water off using the valve handle
located behind your toilet. This should help
stop the water from leaking into any homes
around you causing, most likely, needed carpet
water extraction and/or drywall repairs. It will
also spare your neighbors the inconven-
ience. Call us immediately.
HVAC - Always leave your heat running in the
winter months. Pipes could freeze and break if
left at low temperatures.
Carpet - Vacuum often. Dust can settle in
carpet causing it to wear. To remove furniture
indentations, simply place a few ice cubes and
let them melt. Use a hair dryer to dry out the
area while working the carpet back in place
with fingertips or a grooming tool (make sure to
dry the area completely).
Countertops - Hot pots/pans should not be
placed directly on your countertops. Use hot
pads to protect the surface. Do not chop any
food directly on your countertops. This could
cause scratching. Clean your countertops with
a soft detergent to avoid wear/damage to the
finish.
Patios - Flower pots should not be placed di-
rectly on your patio flooring. Use protective
plates or flower pot stands. Please make sure
to keep the patios clear of clutter and access to
your doors not blocked for easy access to your
home. (both inside and out).
Windows - Windows should not be left open
during rainy weather. The moisture will create
damage to the window sills and walls.
Remember! We are only a call away
with any maintenance concerns. Call
all work orders as you notice them.

Castle Vista Maintenance Tips
Maintenance Corner
1. Make the Peanut Butter Filling: Combine peanut butter and 1 Tbsp. maple syrup and stir until smooth. Add flour and stir until it firms. It should resemble a stiff cookie dough. If your "dough" is too wet, add more flour. If it's too dry, add more peanut butter. This recipe is very forgiving.
2. Roll into ½ Tbsp. - 1 Tbsp. balls, place on the plate, and place them in the freezer for 20 minutes to set.
3. Make the Chocolate Coating: While your Peanut Butter Balls are in the freezer, make the Chocolate Coating. Melt coconut oil in a small bowl, then add cocoa powder, 1 Tbsp. maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir until combined.
4. After 20 minutes, remove your Peanut Butter Balls from the freezer. Re-roll them into smooth balls if desired. Dip balls one-by-one into chocolate coating, being sure that the entire ball is covered.** I used a small dessert fork and it worked perfectly. Return choc-

Notes
*Make sure that you're using drippy peanut butter. If yours is on the hard side, melt it in the microwave for a few seconds, and allow it to slightly cool before proceeding
with the rest of the recipe.
**Don't throw that extra chocolate coating away! Pour it into fun ice cube molds and store them in the freezer for a rich,
melty chocolate treat!

Castle Vista Gates—Update
Thank you for your patience as we are still “Under Con-
struction” with the gates. R & K Gates will be installing
the new operating system in both the front and back
gates. Installation (weather permitting) will be done dur-
ing the first two weeks in March. What are we getting? A
new operating system, maintenance program, and even
more memory for the remotes. Thank you again as
Mother Nature has given us some hurtles to over come
the last couple of weeks.
Note: All current codes and remotes will work with the
upgraded system.
Leashes
A friendly reminder to make sure that your dog is on a
leach at all times when it is out of your home. Your dog
can get injured or injure some-
one. For the safety of your pet
and your fellow residents, re-
member to have a leash on your
pet even in your very own front
yard. A friendly reminder to
please pick up after your pets.

Keeping Our Community Clean
Unwanted Items—Do you
have unwanted items? Don’t
throw large items in or
around the garbage dump-
ster. The trash men do not
pick them up. In the past
month we have had microwaves, chairs, and large box-
es set outside of the dumpster. If you have large items
such as these, please call the office. We will take care
of them. Lets all work together in keeping our commu-
nity clean of trash, unwanted furniture and items.
Cardboard Boxes—If you have card board boxes and
would like them picked up, call the office, we will pick
them up.
Carports, Doors & Storage—Trash
Please remember to keep your carports, patios and
storage areas clean. These areas can become an eye
sore, but also a safety concern. Your patio door and
front door must be accessible at all times. This is vital
during a case of emergency and for use of emergency
personnel.
If you have any questions, please give us a call at
209-357-2924.
