SituationPages Farm is situated in the High Weald AONB and in a secluded rural position. The farm is ring fenced and approached up a long drive within a short distance of the historic village of Mayfield. At one time the village boasted the Summer Palace of the Archbishops of Canterbury. The Palace is now a renowned independent girls boarding and day school – St Leonards. The village has a selection of local shops serving all the usual day-to-day needs. Pages Farmhouse Pages Farmhouse is a pretty, grade II listed, 16th century farmhouse constructed of stone, brick and timber, and tile hung above, under a tiled roof and arranged over three storeys. On the ground floor there are four principal reception rooms including a spacious drawing room and charming sitting room. Of particular note in the sitting room is the large inglenook fireplace. Land The land at Pages Farm is ring fenced, undulating and particularly beautiful. The grassland is productive and is divided into 16 principle named fields totalling about 158 acres. Interspersed throughout the land are pretty areas of woodland and shelter belts together with a number of ponds totalling acreage of about 37 acres. The southern end of the land is bordered by the river Rother into which tree streams from the farm flow. Between Brook and Cinder fields there is a wooden bridge and adjacent to that bridge wild garlic grows. Elsewhere on the farm orchids, violets, primroses and bluebells are to be seen.
