The focus of the training was on build-ing body confidence among youth. Strong body confi-dence is an important step towards building self-esteem, empowering the leaders of tomorrow. But in societies all over the world, children and young people list the way
they look among their top concerns. They feel under pressure to change their ap-pearance to fit in with socie-ty’s narrow image of beauty, which is presented in the me-dia and idealized by their peers. During the training through surveys, discussions and creative activities, partici-pants uncovered the prob-lems that low body confi-dence causes in children and young people in our society, and they have learned to plan Action Projects to make change happen.
