Running Home to FamilyBid Day, a life-changing day. The day you don your colors and

run into the arms of your new sisters. These women will

become more than just peers in the classroom or people passing

you on the way to your dorm. These women could become the

sisters youve never had, your partners in crime, best friends to

bond over chocolate and chick flicks, or maybe even future

bridesmaids in your wedding. When you go through Formal

Recruitment you are signing yourself up for three days of

getting to know the entire Panhellenic community, and

potentially the women who have the ability to lift you higher.

Sign up for Formal Recruitment; choose to run home to family.

THE LOREM IPSUMS SUMMER 2016December 2013 Issue No. Ten

Gaining Sisters and Joining a Home

-When asked about formal recruitment, Jordan

Shoemaker (Sophomore !"#), said, Rush was a

nerve-racking and exciting experience and one

that I'm glad I did because I now have life long

friends and sisters for the rest of my life. Safe to

say one of my best decisions ever.

    -Paige McGuirk(Sophomore $%) said, For me, I

thought rush was really stressful and emotional,

but by the end of it, it was amazing! The first day

of rush felt like a recruitment event, but by the

third day, it was very emotional and exciting!!

The day of the run was the best day ever! Having

it pouring down rain made the experience even

    more exciting and fun!

Nikes Got it RightJUST DO IT.

Going through Rush is no small feat. It takes courage.

    There are plenty of rumors out there about Sorority life;

about the women people say we are without actually

trying to get to know us. By going through Formal

Recruitment you will be getting to know the real us, the

reality that is Greek life. Rush consists of only a few days,

if you decide it isnt for you, your $25 will be reimbursed

and you will have at least made some new friends! So take

    a chance, change your life!

    -A Sophomore &'states, The thing I liked

most about rush was that by the time last pref

came the two houses I was between both felt like

home and no matter which one I got a bid from I

would have been happy to have a whole new

family. And walking into Lynn gymand seeing

the older girls so happy to see me made me feel

like it was worth all the nerves because they

really did want me as a Phi Mu.

    -Lauren Alexander(Sophomore "()) describes

rush as a, wonderful experience. I was thrilled

to be going through the process to be able to gain

new lifelong sisters and couldn't have been more

happy when I got my bid and ran home to ADPi.

It feels right and I wouldn't have traded this for

anything. I love my new sisters!

A word from 2013s pledge class on their rush experience
