Parents can access the system by entering their child’s name and registration class or date of birth. Alternatively parents can be asked for a secure login code which is generated for each pupil.

Parents Evening System integrates fully with SIMS - this means that parent contact details, child records, and teacher and class information will automatically be synced, saving time on set up administration.

Parents can choose to include a short message to each teacher when booking their appointments to focus the discussion. Teachers can see the message via their own login and on the printed appointment sheet.

Separated parents can each book their own set of appointments. Twins are also taken care of, with the system making sure the parent doesn’t book conflicting appointments.

Available as a fully hosted web based service there is no server to set up or maintain. Parents can access the parents’ evening system from any internet connected computer or tablet.

Your questions answeredHow do parents login to the system?Parents will go to a specific URL for your school. The system can be accessed from a laptop, tablet or mobile phone. There is no username and password. Instead the parent enters their name, their child’s name and child’s date of birth which matches with the record in SIMS.

How do you handle split or separated parents?When setting up the system you can choose which priority of contact to transfer from SIMS. We recommend you transfer priority 1 and 2. You can also choose to only transfer contacts with parental responsibility. Each contact that is transferred to the system will be able to make their own set of appointments for the parents’ evening.

How does the system handle shared classes?By default the teacher set as the ‘main’ teacher will be allocated to the class. However when configuring the evening you can set the class to have appointments with all of the shared teachers.

How does the system handle twins?When a parent logs into to the Parents Evening System all children that are linked to the contact in SIMS are shown. The parent will be automatically prevented from making double bookings when booking for each child.
