RCIA Think RCIA (Christian Initiation of Adults)! Now is the time to consider offering RCIA to that person who might be interested in our Faith.

Perhaps your invite might be just the prompt they need to consider joining a Team of parish members to find out more about becoming Catholic. No commitment is necessary during the first half of the learning process. RCIA starts in late September and meets on Tuesday nights. If you know someone, ask them to call the office (483-3772) and talk to Sister Judy or Father Nolan.

If you are a baptized Christian, 21 years or better, you are eligible to seek candidacy as a Dominican Associate. To find out more about the Associate Program of the Dominican Sisters, visit their website at www.springfieldop.org, call Sr. Mary Joan Sorge, OP, at 787-0481, or talk to Sr. Judy here at St. Joseph the Worker. Single women, men or couples are welcome. Dominican Associate brochures can be found in the church pamphlet holders.

Restored Order at St Joe’s As you have heard by now, the Springfield Diocesan Synod passed the vote to move Confirmation back to its original order, which means that (in our parish) by the year 2022, all children in level 3 will receive Confirmation and First Communion at the same Mass. Our three year transition plan was well thought out and now ready to implement. If you haven’t seen it, please check our website under Formation/Faith Formation Information.

First Communion & Confirmation Photo Pick-Up Please make arrangements to pick up your First Communion/Confirmation photos from this past year ASAP. The church office is open Monday-Friday, 8:30-4PM or they can be left outside the office for pick up over the weekend, by contacting Janice Anderson in advance. These young faces are precious and you don’t want to be without them!

Save the Date! WATCH Retreat

October 5 - 7, 2018 We hope you will come to the 'WATCH - We Are The Church’

weekend this year. It is a wonderful time to renew your spirit with God. More details to follow. If you have any questions, please contact Peggy Billhartz (483-2833) or Carol Gustafson (899-6330).

Confirmation 2018-2019 For any child, incoming Level 5 or above, who would like to be confirmed next year, please plan to attend the Orientation Meeting on either Monday, August 27th, 6:30-8PM OR Thursday, August 30th, 6:30-8PM. Every session matters and is an important piece to the puzzle of preparation, so even if your child is undecided about being confirmed, please plan to attend regardless. Emails with future information will begin in July and will be sent to all incoming Level 5 and 6 families. If your child is interested in Confirmation and is older than Level 6, or if they were not currently registered for this past year of Faith Formation, please be sure to email Janice Anderson so that they can be added to the contact list.
