FATHER LEDOUX’S PRAYER INTENTIONS FOR JULY WORSHIP: Through our parish novena to St. Anne this month: may she, who formed in the ways of faithfulness to God and gave witness

to the Blessed Virgin Mother, intercede for us as a parish community to remain always trusting and faithful to the will of God in our lives. FAITH FORMATION: May families preparing their child to receive the Sacrament of Baptism be given the guidance of the Holy Spirit so as

to know how to lead their child in the active practice of the Faith amidst the challenges of the world. EVANGELIZATION: That the celebration of our Nation's independence this month serve as a reminder of the Founding Fathers of our

Nation's intent that God NOT be absent from our lives in the public square. SOCIAL JUSTICE: That Marriage, as an institution of Almighty God between one man and one woman, may be defended and promoted

within the life of the Parish Family and our civil community. BUILDINGS AND FACILITIES: In thanksgiving for the beautiful repairs to our Parish Hall, where we are gathering for Holy Mass, the

exciting repairs to our Church and the new Perpetual Adoration Chapel. May God reward all those who are committing to our Parish's Capital Campaign by prayer, time and finance.

HOLY FATHER’S PRAYER INTENTION FOR JULY

EVANGELIZATION: Lapsed Catholics That our brothers and sisters who have strayed from the faith, through our prayer and witness to the Gospel, may rediscover the merciful closeness of the Lord and the beauty of the Christian life.

THE MOST PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS

LITANY OF THE MOST PRECIOUS BLOOD Lord, have mercy. Lord, have mercy.

Christ, have mercy. Christ, have mercy.

Lord, have mercy. Lord, have mercy.

Christ, hear us. Christ, graciously hear us.

God the Father of Heaven, Have mercy on us.

God the Son, Redeemer of the world, Have mercy on us.

God, the Holy Spirit, Have mercy on us.

Holy Trinity, One God, Have mercy on us.

Blood of Christ, only-begotten Son of the eternal Father, save us. Blood of Christ, Incarnate Word or God, save us. Blood of Christ, of the New and Eternal Testament, save us. Blood of Christ, falling upon the earth in Agony, save us. Blood of Christ, shed profusely in the Scourging, save us. Blood of Christ, flowing forth in the Crowning with Thorns, save us. Blood of Christ, poured out on the Cross, save us. Blood of Christ, price of our salvation, save us. Blood of Christ, without which there is no forgiveness, save us. Blood of Christ, Eucharistic drink and refreshment of souls, save us. Blood of Christ, stream of mercy, save us. Blood of Christ, victor over demons, save us. Blood of Christ, courage of Martyrs, save us. Blood of Christ, strength of Confessors, save us. Blood of Christ, bringing forth Virgins, save us. Blood of Christ, help of those in peril, save us. Blood of Christ, relief of the burdened, save us. Blood of Christ, solace in sorrow, save us. Blood of Christ, hope of the penitent, save us. Blood of Christ, consolation of the dying, save us.

Blood of Christ, peace and tenderness of hearts, save us. Blood of Christ, pledge of eternal life, save us. Blood of Christ, freeing souls from purgatory, save us. Blood of Christ, most worthy of all glory and honor, save us.

Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world,

spare us, O Lord.

Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world,

graciously hear us, O Lord.

Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world,

have mercy on us, O Lord.

V. You have redeemed us, O Lord, in Your Blood.

R. And made us a kingdom for our God.

Let us Pray:

V. Almighty and eternal God, You have appointed Your only-begotten Son the Redeemer of the world and willed to be appeased by His blood. Grant, we beg, that we may worthily adore this price of our salvation and through its power be safeguarded from the evils of the present life so that we may rejoice in its fruits forever in heaven. Through the same Christ our Lord.

R. Amen.

“JESUS, I TRUST IN YOU”

ST. FAUSTINA: "On one occasion, the Lord said to me, 'Why are you fearful and why do you tremble when you are united to Me? I am displeased when a soul yields to vain terrors. Who will dare to touch you when you are with Me? Most dear to Me is the soul that strongly believes in My goodness and has complete trust in Me. I heap My confidence upon it and give it all it asks.'" (Diary 453)

END OF LIFE MATTERS presented by REV. KEITH LABOVE

Whose life is it, anyway? Must we do everything? Who decides? Does a living will help?

These and other questions will be discussed at a seminar to be offered by Fr. Keith LaBove, Pastor of St. Patrick Church and long-time hospital chaplain. We will explore basic church teaching on the stewardship of life and end of life care, look at some specific issues that arise, and talk about advanced directives. This one night session will be repeated at 4 locations: Tuesday, August 1 (6:00-7:30pm): St. Michael the Archangel Church (Parish Hall), Crowley; Wednesday, August 2 (6:00-7:30pm): St. Patrick Church, Lafayette; Tuesday, August 8 (6:00-7:30pm): Holy Ghost Church (Parish Hall), Opelousas; Wednesday, August 9 (6:00-7:30pm): Sacred Heart of Jesus Church (Parish Hall), New Iberia.

All are welcome to attend any of the presentations. Pre-registration is not required and there is no cost to attend. O Jesus, Eternal Priest, keep Thy servants within the shelter of Thy Sacred Heart, where none may harm them. Keep unstained their anointed hands, which daily touch Thy Sacred Body. Keep unsullied their lips, purpled with Thy Precious Blood. Keep pure and unearthly their hearts, sealed with the sublime mark of Thy glorious Priesthood. Let Thy holy love surround them and shield them from the world’s contagion. Bless their labors with abundant fruit, and may the souls to whom they minster be here below their joy and consolation, and in Heaven their beautiful and everlasting crown. Amen.

O Lord Jesus Christ, great High Priest, I pray that You call many worthy souls to Your holy priesthood. Enlighten the Bishop and Vocation Director in the choice of candidates, the Spiritual Directors in molding them, and the professors in instructing them. Lead the seminarians daily in Your unerring footsteps, so that they may become priests who are models of purity, possessors of wisdom, and heroes of sacrifice. May they be steeped in humility and aflame with love for God and man, apostles of Your glory, and sanctifiers of souls.

Mary, Queen of the Clergy, pray for us. Amen.

Your prayers are a welcome gift and are needed for the success of our Capital Campaign.

BUILDING OUR FUTURE TOGETHER

“It is impossible in human terms to exaggerate the importance of being in adoration before the Eucharist as often and for as long as our duties and state of life allow.” ~Fr. John Hardon

PRO-LIFE REFLECTIONS

Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. ~Gen 1:28

REFLECTION: The single largest destroyer of human life in our nation and in the world is not poverty or AIDS; it is not heart disease or cancer; it is not terrorism or war. It is abortion.

Some 50 million children around the world are killed each year by this procedure.

PRAYER: O Lord; enable us to pursue those things that will preserve our species and continue to fulfill Your original command to multiply.

Stewardship is the grateful response of a Christian disciple who recognizes and receives God's gifts and shares

these gifts in love of God and neighbor.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROUS DONATIONS AND STEWARDSHIP! BECAUSE OF YOUR GENEROUS SUPPORT,

WE HAVE A WONDERFUL PLACE OF WORSHIP.

A STEWARDSHIP MOMENT FIFTEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

In today’s reading form the prophet Isaiah, there is a guarantee that the unleashing of God’s Word will bear much fruitfulness in the world. The Word of God will accomplish whatever God sends it forth to do. His Word is given to us as a gift to be nurtured, shared and made to “bear fruit.” The question is whether or not we are exercising good stewardship over God’s Word. Have we been “fruitful” with God’s Word? Have we unleashed God’s Word? Do we

share God’s Word or do we leave that task to others?

ROSARY FOR PEACE The Rosary for peace for our country and our soldiers will be prayed every Thursday before 6:30am Mass.
