` eSt. Peter Roman Catholic Church Mission Statement
Our mission is to proclaim the Kingdom of God by living
the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Word, Sacrament, and
Service as taught by the Roman Catholic Church. St. Peter
Parish is a community of dedicated Catholics centered on
the Eucharist, which is the source and the summit of all that
we do and hope to become. Approved August 19, 2014
PARISH SACRAMENTS
SACRAMENT OF THE MOST HOLY EUCHARIST
As a parish, the Holy Sacrifice of the
Mass is central to who we are and what we do. Regular Mass Times are listed on the front of the
bulletin. Please contact the office for special Mass
times during Lent and Holy Days of Obligation. To receive formation for First Holy Communion,
contact the Parish Office, 896-9408.
SACRAMENT OF CONFESSION Essential to the Christian Life, the
Sacrament of Confession is where we come into contact with Christ who wishes to heal and bless us.
Regular Confession is an integral part of practicing
our Faith and experiencing the peace and joy of a personal relationship with Jesus. 30 minutes before
every Mass, the Sacrament of Confession is offered.
If you need to receive the Sacrament of Confession for the first time, contact the Parish Office, 896-
9408.
SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM Through the waters of Baptism, the new
Christian enters the Church and is given Eternal Life. To have your infant baptized, please contact
the Parish Office at least 2-4 months prior to the
baby’s due date so that there is enough time to complete preparation for the Sacrament.
Parents should be registered,
participating members of the Parish Family. Proposed Sponsors (Godparents) should be
attending Mass regularly. Both parents and sponsors
receive a Baptismal Packet which must be
completed and received before attendance at a
Baptismal instruction class is scheduled. A
Baptismal date is determined after all Church requirements are satisfied.
If you are a parent or an adult seeking the
Sacrament of Baptism, please contact the Parish Office, 896-9408.
SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE In the beginning, God created mankind
as one, male and female. Christ elevated this union
to the level of a Sacrament, an image of His own love for His Bride, The Church. Our Parish Family is
made up of many beautiful marriages who enrich the
Church and the world. Couples discerning the vocation of Holy Matrimony should contact the
Parish Office to begin the journey of preparing for
their new life together no later than 6-9 months prior
to the desired wedding date.
SACRAMENT OF ANOINTING OF THE SICK AND FUNERAL/BURIAL
ARRANGEMENTS The Church and her Sacraments accompany us at every moment of our life. When
we are very sick or nearing the end of this life, we
receive the healing of Christ through Anointing of the Sick. Please contact the Parish Office, 896-9408,
to make an appointment.
Also, contact the church office before you contact anyone else in making funeral
arrangements. We are here to guide you through that
most difficult time.

FATHER LEDOUX’S PRAYER INTENTIONS FOR JULY WORSHIP: Through our parish novena to St. Anne this month: may she, who formed in the ways of faithfulness to God and gave witness
to the Blessed Virgin Mother, intercede for us as a parish community to remain always trusting and faithful to the will of God in our lives. FAITH FORMATION: May families preparing their child to receive the Sacrament of Baptism be given the guidance of the Holy Spirit so as
to know how to lead their child in the active practice of the Faith amidst the challenges of the world. EVANGELIZATION: That the celebration of our Nation's independence this month serve as a reminder of the Founding Fathers of our
Nation's intent that God NOT be absent from our lives in the public square. SOCIAL JUSTICE: That Marriage, as an institution of Almighty God between one man and one woman, may be defended and promoted
within the life of the Parish Family and our civil community. BUILDINGS AND FACILITIES: In thanksgiving for the beautiful repairs to our Parish Hall, where we are gathering for Holy Mass, the
exciting repairs to our Church and the new Perpetual Adoration Chapel. May God reward all those who are committing to our Parish's Capital Campaign by prayer, time and finance.

“JESUS, I TRUST IN YOU”
ST. FAUSTINA: "On one occasion, the Lord said to me, 'Why are you fearful and why do you tremble when you are united to Me? I am displeased when a soul yields to vain terrors. Who will dare to touch you when you are with Me? Most dear to Me is the soul that strongly believes in My goodness and has complete trust in Me. I heap My confidence upon it and give it all it asks.'" (Diary 453)

These and other questions will be discussed at a seminar to be offered by Fr. Keith LaBove, Pastor of St. Patrick Church and long-time hospital chaplain. We will explore basic church teaching on the stewardship of life and end of life care, look at some specific issues that arise, and talk about advanced directives. BUILDING OUR FUTURE TOGETHER
“It is impossible in human terms to exaggerate the importance of being in adoration before the Eucharist as often and for as long as our duties and state of life allow.” ~Fr. John Hardon
PRO-LIFE REFLECTIONS
Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. ~Gen 1:28
REFLECTION: The single largest destroyer of human life in our nation and in the world is not poverty or AIDS; it is not heart disease or cancer; it is not terrorism or war. It is abortion.
Some 50 million children around the world are killed each year by this procedure.
PRAYER: O Lord; enable us to pursue those things that will preserve our species and continue to fulfill Your original command to multiply.

Stewardship is the grateful response of a Christian disciple who recognizes and receives God's gifts and shares
these gifts in love of God and neighbor.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROUS DONATIONS AND STEWARDSHIP! BECAUSE OF YOUR GENEROUS SUPPORT,
WE HAVE A WONDERFUL PLACE OF WORSHIP.
A STEWARDSHIP MOMENT FIFTEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
In today’s reading form the prophet Isaiah, there is a guarantee that the unleashing of God’s Word will bear much fruitfulness in the world. The Word of God will accomplish whatever God sends it forth to do. His Word is given to us as a gift to be nurtured, shared and made to “bear fruit.” The question is whether or not we are exercising good stewardship over God’s Word. Have we been “fruitful” with God’s Word? Have we unleashed God’s Word? Do we
share God’s Word or do we leave that task to others?
ROSARY FOR PEACE The Rosary for peace for our country and our soldiers will be prayed every Thursday before 6:30am Mass.

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS Almighty and eternal God, those who take refuge in You will be glad and forever will shout for joy. Protect these soldiers as they discharge their duties. Protect them with the shield of Your strength and keep them safe from all evil and harm. May the power of Your love enable them to return home in safety, that with all who love them, they may ever praise You for Your loving care. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
