• B’more for Healthy Babies, Patterson Park North and East began with nine partners:

• Baltimore Medical System
• Bayview Care-A-Van
• Green and Healthy Homes Initiative
• Johns Hopkins WIC
• Patterson Park Public Charter School
• South East Early Head Start
• St Vincent de Paul Hea
A diverse community with many barriers to receiving services
Lack of Language accommodations
Lack of insurance
Lack of Understanding of Health and Social Service Systems
Fear of Immigration authorities
A diverse community with even morebarriers to receiving
services
Lack of Language accommodations
Unemployment
Lack of insurance
Not eligible for COVID relief
Many facing eviction
Lack of Understanding of Health and Social Service Systems
Under threat that active ICE roundups will begin again shortly
Fear of Immigration authorities
Community Partners band together to provide resources for families
• Group activities go virtual
• Phone calls video chats provide a lifeline to human contact and resource
• Families share resource information with one another
• Many groups providing food
• Other resources including diapers
• Delivery to families with transportation barriers or family members ill with COVID-19
But the human contact is still important
A Moms Club graduation during COVID 19 turns into a show of support for Precious Purple Sunday. This year’s theme:
“Little Black Lives Matter”
