The Amber Rose SlutWalk is an all-inclusive not- for-profit event that is playing a monumental role in the movement towards gender equality. It all began back in 2011 in Toronto when a police officer told a crowd of college women that if they wanted to avoid sexual assault, they shouldn’t dress like sluts. The SlutWalk has now become a global movement with grassroots success in over 200 countries in taking a stand against sexual injustice, victim blaming, and derogatory labeling.

The Amber Rose SlutWalk experience is unlike that of any other SlutWalk or feminist event in the world. The event provides installations and artists and speakers to entertain, educate, and empower the SlutWalk audience while creating unforgettable memories. In order to create a lively day festival experience and unique opportunity to highlight your products and corporate initiatives, dozens of vendors and on site services have been organized for this year’s event. Through tools such as live

streaming and Amber Rose’s massive media base of 18 million followers, The Amber Rose SlutWalk delivered more than 60 million media impressions last year, and with over 15,000 pre-registrants, the world’s most unique feminist movement is back this year by popular demand.

Rape can affect anyone – no matter their race, ethnicity, sex, gender, social class, or sexual orientation. Rape is NEVER the survivor’s fault. The only person to blame for rape is the rapist!• One in four college women has survived rape or

attempted rape in their lifetime.• American women serving in the Middle East are more

likely to be raped by a comrade than to be killed by an enemy. (Pentagon)

• Women around the world ages 15-44 are more at risk from rape and domestic violence than from cancer, car accidents, war and malaria. (U.N.)

• The Department of Justice offers a low estimate that 300,000 women will be raped annually.

• Number of women in the U.S. impregnated against their will each year in the U.S. as a result of rape: 32,000.

• Approximately 1.8 million adolescents in the United States have been the victims of sexual assault.

• A LGBT prisoner has 15x greater chance of being sexually assaulted.

• 97 percent of rapists who are never incarcerated.• Women earn only 78 cents for every dollar earned by men.

African-American women earn 64 cents and Latina women earn 56 cents for every dollar earned by a Caucasian male.

Amber Rose is a mother, philanthropist, talk show host, feminist and entrepreneur. At the core of the Amber Rose brand is her foundation that focuses on a platform dedicated to women empowerment issues. Her endeavors include an eye wear line and, becoming a published author of her book entitled “How to Be a Bad Bitch.”, and most recently hosting The Amber Rose Show on VH1. Even though this is a SlutWalk, don’t let the work “walk” mislead you, the Amber Rose SlutWalk is more of an awareness day festival filled with all types of cool activities, contests and giveaways, vendors, speakers, panelist, performances, live DJ, sign-making, educational booths, photo booths, free breast cancer exams, HIV testing and much more. This year, VH1 will be taping the event live, so it will be sure to attract top musical performances. Thousands of people across gender, sex, race, age, class, education, profession, will gather for an unforgettable experience. Pershing Square will be transformed into a world platform for a mission that needs a large stage.
