Pathophysiology Predisposing Factors: Patient’s age is 59 y/o  Past History- breast cancer Taking Tamoxifen for 1 year (Studies revealed that tamoxifen also promotes endometrial growth although an anti- estrogen agent that is used to treat breast cancer) Precipitating Factosr: High fat diet Menopause Stimulation of increased estrogen production Proliferation of cells in the uterus Overgrowth of the endometrial lining Develops into uterine fibroid Deterioration in the interior part of the fibroid Interference in the vascular supply Diagnostics Transvaginal Sonography (UTZ revealed thickened endometrium) Pelvic exam Pain Tenderness Palpable mass at hypogastric region Dysmenorrhea Compression of the bladder Urinary frequency, constipation, fatigue, feeling of heaviness
