Course descriptionNursing Professional Development (NPD) practitioners and other healthcare educators are transforming professional practice to improve patient and health outcomes. Attend this year’s virtual Pathways to Knowledge Conference to ignite your passion, inspire yourself and others, and innovate your practice. Leave empowered, engaged, and energized to transform the future of professional development.

Target audienceThis activity is designed for nurses and others involved in the development of health care professionals.

Course objectivesAt the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

• Develop strategies that are essential for successfulnursing professional development (NPD) practice inthe multisite setting.

• Consider what infrastructures are necessary tosupport, extend, and strengthen NPD practice andimpact, particularly in the multisite environment.

• Make use of the Single Preceptor Model, MarriedState Preceptor Model, and the Team PreceptorModel.

• Begin using simulation/computer-basedcase studies as a strategy for developing thecompetencies of preceptors.

• Implement preceptor documentation tools basedon best practices.

Exhibit and poster informationExhibits and posters will be available to view in the virtual exhibit hall at any time throughout the conference. Exhibitors and poster presenters will be available to interact live with attendees via videoconference at designated times during the conference. See agenda for live interaction times.
