Presidents Welcome
Generations o students havemade Phoenix College the
launching point or the pursuit o
their educational, proessional,
and personal goals. Since
1920, PCs talented aculty,
administrators, and sta have
provided outstanding teaching
and learning experiences,
resulting in our students
success in the classroom, on the feld, and arbeyond.
Intercollegiate athletics programs have long been
a vital part o PCs mission. Phoenix College
student athletes participate in the Student Athlete
Scholastic Success Program, receiving mentorship
and advisement rom coaches, administration, and
aculty as they strive to reach their academic goals.
The program has resulted in stellar outcomes:
Ten Phoenix College student athletes earned
National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA)
Academic All-American honors in 2010-2011 with
a GPA o 3.6 or higher. In Fall 2010, 97 student
athletes achieved a 3.0 or better GPA.
Five PC athletic teams were designated NJCAA
Academic All-American Teams, with a team grade
point average o at least 3.0.
The PC Mens Basketball team took rst place in
the Region 1 Championship, placing in the top ten
nationally. During 2010-2011, 47 Phoenix College student
athletes signed on to continue their athletic and
academic pursuits at the university level.
Thank you for supporting our student athletes. I
hope you enjoy this event, and I look forward to your
continued engagement in the variety o educational,
athletic, cultural, and civic opportunities available

David Cameron
Head Coach
David Cameron enters his
7th season as the Head
Coach at Phoenix College.
A native o the valley,
Cameron attended Shadow
Mt. High School where he
is now listed in the Hall o Fame. Ater high school
Cameron attended Phoenix College where he was
named 1st Team All-American and earned Player
o the Year honors his reshman & sophomore
years. Cameron currently holds all oensive recordsat Phoenix College spanning 11 years and is the
only player in the ACCAC Region I history to be
named Player o the Year twice. Ater leaving
Phoenix College, Coach Cameron attended Loyola
Marymount University to play Div. I. At Loyola,
Cameron broke the single season scoring record
and was named 2nd Team All Conerence.
Proessionally, Cameron played or the WISL
Arizona Thunder rom 1998-2000 and or the
CISL Arizona Sandsharks in 1997. Cameron hasalso played or the Tucson Fireballs 2000 and the
Arizona Sahuaros 2001 & 2002.
Cameron holds a degree in Exercise Science
& Physical Education and holds his National C
License. Along with his wie, Cameron has two
daughters & one son. They currently reside in
Avondale, Arizona.
Roberto Beall
Assistant Coach
Roberto Beall enters
his 2nd season with the
bears. Roberto has 15
years coaching experience
at Division 1 with the
University o Vermont and
has been the Director o Coaching or several clubs
throughout the valley. Roberto holds a Brazilian
ABTF A License and has played all over the world.
Roberto has won a National Title as a player and as
an Assistant Coach with the University o Vermont.Currently Roberto is the Director o Coaching or
the Arizona Hammers.
Erik Anderson
Assistant Coach
Erik Andersen enters his frst
year as an Assistant Coach
at Phoenix College. He was
a captain or Head CoachDave Cameron during the
2006 and 2007 seasons.
Ater Phoenix College Andersen went to Colorado
State University- Pueblo where he set a goal
scoring record and received All Conerence and
All Region honors. While fnishing up his degree
at Colorado State University- Pueblo, he was an
Assistant Coach or the mens soccer program.
He then was a national fnalist with the Colorado
Springs Blizzard in the PASL.
Andersen is currently a Physical Education teacher
at Glendale American. He and his wie Valette have
two sons, Riley and Landon.

Paul Allen
Assistant Coach
Coach Allen is entering his
2nd season with the bears.
Paul played collegiately
or Central Connecticut
State Division 1. While
playing college soccer
Paul received his Bachelors Degree in Regional
Development. Coach Allen is currently a strength
and conditioning coach or Phoenix College and
Brophy Prep High School.
Jessica McDonald
Volunteer Coach
Coach Allen is entering his 2nd season with
Jessica enters her frst season with the Bears as a
coach but attended Phoenix College or two years
participating in soccer, basketball and track as a
reshman, as a sophomore she played basketball
and track in order to retain three years o soccer
eligibility at Carolina. Jessica is a frst-team juniorcollege All-America in soccer and National Junior
College Player o the Year, named frst-team all-
conerence and all-region broke the single-season
record holder at Phoenix College or goals and
assists.
Ater transerring rom junior college, she joined
the Tar Heels ater the frst seven games o the
season and played a key role in UNCs run to the
national championship...played in 21 games
and started 17 times...all o her starts came inthe seasons fnal 18 games, including the last
13 games in a row...scored fve goals and had
10 assists or 20 points...led the Tar Heel team in
assists despite missing a quarter o the season...
scored a goal in her Tar Heel debut against
Georgia...added her second goal in a decisive
5-2 win at Clemson, assisted on two goals by
Courtney Jones, including the game-winner in
the 5-0 win over Maryland...assisted on the frst
two goals in UNCs 5-0 victory at NC State, talliedthe game-opening goal and also assisted on the
ourth UNC goal as the Tar Heels won at Virginia
5-1, assisted on Casey Nogueiras game-winner
against Miami in the regular-season fnale...named
to the All-ACC Tournament Team ater she scored
the game-winning goal and assisted on the second
goal in the 3-0 triumph over Virginia Tech in the
tournament championship match...assisted on
Casey Nogueiras game-winner and then scored
the second goal in the Tar Heels 5-0 win over
Western Carolina in the frst round o the NCAA
Tournament.
Jessica also was a member o U.S. U23 National
Team in 2009.
Jonathan Perdomo
Volunteer CoachJonathan enters his frst season with the Bears
ater having two successul years playing or the
Bears. Jonathan was last years captain and was
instrumental in leading the 2010 Bears to the Semi
Finals o the ACCAC.

Athletic Trainers
Lisa Ruiz-Gonzales
Head Athletic
TrainerLisa Ruiz-Gonzales, MS, ATC,
AT/L is Phoenix Colleges
Head Athletic Trainer and an
Assistant Athletic Director.
This is her sixth year as Head
Athletic Trainer or Phoenix College. She received
her B.S. in Exercise Science rom Arizona State
University and her M.S. in Sports Health Care rom
Arizona School o Health Sciences. She has been
a part o the Phoenix College amily and athletic
training sta since 1999, initially starting as an
athletic training student while attending ASU and
continuing through as a graduate assistant while
completing her masters degree at ASHS. Lisa is a
certifed member o the National Athletic Trainers
Association (NATA), Rocky Mountain Athletic
Trainers Association, Arizona Community Colleges
Athletic Trainers Association (ACCATA), and is
currently licensed by the Arizona Board o Athletic
