EducationalObjectives
The symposium is designed for Pediatric Neurologists in academic and private practices, General Pediatricians, Neurology residents, fellows and medical students. The speakers will cover a broad range of Child Neurology topics which will include advancements in diagno-sis and treatments in Epilepsy, Movement disorders, Traumatic brain injury /Concussion, Neuromuscular diseases, Neurodevelopmental disabilities and Auto-immune Neurologic diseases among others.
The aim of this symposium is to impact positive changes in physician competency, improve performance in clinical Pediatric Neurology practice and subsequently improve patient out-comes. This conference will provide an update on the recent advances in treatment and research findings in various Pediatric Neurological disorders. The format of this program will be a series of lectures presented by experts in the field on a variety of topics followed by discussions in which the audience can directly interact with the speakers.
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:• Identify neurocognitve sequelae of concussion and provide management guidelines• Explain the use of special diets, alternative therapies and medicinal cannabinoids to treat pediatric epilepsy• Identify and perform basic evaluation in patients with suspected neuromuscular conditions• Describe the recent developments for the evaluation and treatment of patients with demyelinating conditions• Discuss the clinical presentation and treatment of GLUT1 transporter disorder and the importance of identification of this syndrome

A $15.00 handling fee will be deducted from cancellation refunds. Refund requests must be received by mail or fax prior to May 30, 2016. No refunds will be made thereafter.
