GENERAL NOTES

Situation

Lower Drayton Farm adjoins the A449 and lies only approximately ¾ mile north of Penkridge. The farm has excellent road network access via junction 13 of the M6 (Stafford South). From junction 13 of the M6 take the A449 signposted Penkridge and Wolverhampton and travel south through Dunston. Pass the Dunston Business Village on the right and after approximately 600 yards turn left into Lower Drayton Lane. The farm lies down the lane on the right. From Penkridge travel north towards Stafford on the A449 and after ¾ mile turn right into Lower Drayton Lane with the farm lying down the lane on the right. ‘To the Sale’ and ‘Car Park’ signs will be erected on the morning of the sale.

Value Added Tax - The vendors are registered for VAT purposes (no. 592 3382 24) and VAT at the standard rate will be charged in addition to the auction price where applicable. Refreshments - A caterer will be in attendance on the day.

Viewing and Inspection – Sale Day Only From 8.30am Onwards

Conditions of Sale – Bagshaws usual farm sale conditions of sale shall apply at this sale, copies of which are available from the Town offices or the on site sale office.

Cash – Under the money laundering regulations the auctioneers are unable to accept cash in sums greater than €15,000 (or its Sterling equivalent). Please contact the auctioneers to discuss methods of cash payment prior to the sale.

Export Purchasers – All goods must be paid for in pounds sterling (£).

VAT on Export Goods – Under regulations imposed by HM Customs & Excise, the auctioneers must account in a proper manner for VAT on export goods. Therefore, any customers who have no trading pattern record with the auctioneers must pay all VAT on the purchase price of goods on sale day. On receipt of all relevant export documentation and bills of laden (which must be received in the prescribed time limits), the auctioneers will then refund relevant VAT sums.

Buyers Premium – No buyers premium will be payable at this sale.

Telehandler Loading Facilities – Telehandler loading facilities will be available on site up until approximately 5.00pm on sale day.

Machine Hours – Machine hours have been taken as at Friday 12th May. These are given for information purposes only and are not guaranteed by the Auctioneers. Loading It is the responsibility of the purchaser to arrange for the safe loading & transport of all and any purchases. Bagshaws are under no obligation to provide assistance in loading but on occasion they will do their best to help provided that it is not putting themselves, the purchaser or other people at risk of injury. For large, heavy and unwieldy items, specialist loading and transportation will be required for example bulk bins and tanks. The decision made by Bagshaws will be final.

FOREWORD

The Bower Family have farmed at Lower Drayton Farm, Penkridge for over 35 years and as time has progressed diversification has become an important part of the family business. This interesting sale at Lower Drayton Farm now allows them to streamline their current farming operations as they have adopted a strip tillage cultivation system to establish all their crops and a selection of their current tillage equipment is now no longer required and is being sold. There is quite an array of classic and vintage items including collectable stoneware, sandstone troughs etc. together with a large array of various items and fixtures which Ray has collected over many decades. Also included are the 2 ponies Polly and Lotty and these two mares were born in 2013 and 2015 respectively. Perusal of the main catalogue together with the included section will reveal that there are several small genuine dispersals from both non-vat and vat registered vendors to be sold after the main items from Ray, Val and Richard Bower. There will be a wide array of lots at this interesting and varied venue which lies very close to the M6 junction 13 (Stafford South).
