Binding

- Read through all of the instructions before beginning.- All of the seam allowances are 1/4” unless otherwise noted.- Press seam allowances open unless otherwise noted. - Width of fabric (WOF) is equal to at least 42” wide.- Right sides together has been abbreviated to RST.- Remember to measure twice and cut once!

From each of Fabrics B and C, cut:two 3-1/2” x WOF strips. Subcut: fifteenCompanionAngletriangles

From each of Fabrics F-T, cut:one 3-1/2” x WOF strip. Subcut: twelve Easy Angle triangles three Companion Angle triangles From the Binding Fabric, cut:six 2-1/2” x WOF strips

Step 1 Each block has two large triangles, one light, one dark, and four contrasting small triangles. Choose the six units you need for each block and place on a paper plate. Repeat for 44 blocks. You will have some units left over to make a few additional blocks if you choose.

Step 2 Sew a contrasting small triangle to the right edge of a large triangle. Repeat for the second half of the block. Finger-press toward the small triangle.

Step 3 Sew the remaining contrasting small triangles to the left edge of the units from Step 2. Finger-press toward the large triangle.Youshouldnowhavetwoflyinggeese units measuring 3-1/2” x 6-1/2”. Trim off points.

Step 4 SewthetwoflyinggeeseunitsfromStep3togethertomakea block. Press the center seam open. At this point the block should measure 6-1/2” square. Repeat for all forty-four blocks.

Step 1 Sew four blocks together in a row, alternating the direction of the light triangles as shown. Make two row units for the top and bottom of the quilt. Press the seams open.

Assembling the Quilt

Step 2 Sew seven blocks together in a vertical row for the left side of the quilt, alternating the direction of the light triangles as shown. Press the seams open.

Step 3 Sew a second vertical row of blocks for the outside edge of the left side of the quilt, alternating the direction of the blocks as shown. Press the seams open.

Step 4 Join the two vertical rows for the left side of the quilt. Press the seam open.

Step 5 Repeat Steps 2-4 to make the right side vertical rows.

Step 6 Measure the length of the vertical rows, and trim the panel and sashing strips to this length.

Step 7 Sew the two sashing strips to the sides of the panel. Press. Measure the width of the four block units made in Step 1. Trim the panel evenlytofitthetop and bottom borders.

Step 8 Sew the side block borders to the sides of the panel. Press toward the panel.

Step 9 Sew two blocks to the right and left side of the top and bottom borders, making sure the light triangles alternate. Press the seams open. Sew to the top and bottom of the quilt. Press toward the panel.

Step 10 Piece the blue print border strips as needed. Measure and trim two borders the width of the quilt. Sew to the top and bottom of the quilt. Press toward the borders.

Step 11 Repeat Step 10 for the side borders of the quilt.

Your quilt top is complete. Baste, quilt, bind and enjoy!
