The People Change The Mission Does Not

In this the Year of Mercy, we are reminded money must serve, not rule! The Pope asks us

all to help, respect and promote mercy:

“Not to share one’s wealth with others is to steal from them and to take away their livelihood. It is not our own good which we hold….”

Following Pope Francis message, we are called to be the Light of Hope! We can do that

in such a beautiful way each spring by supporting a special collection known as the

Spring Combined Collections. This effort to reach out for support will help us all to live

out the Spiritual Works of Mercy and to give to something bigger than ourselves.

The people impacted by unforeseen circumstances change year after year, but the mission

remains the same, to alleviate poverty, homelessness and human suffering in the more

than 85 countries which are supported by the Spring Combined Collection (SCC) these

included the following: Catholic Campaign for Human Development

Catholic Communication Campaign Catholic Relief Services

Peter’s Pence

This year the Spring Combined Collection will take place May 20th and 21st, 2016. We invite you to hear the cry of the poor, the terrorized and even those next door any of which might be Jesus. Please prayerfully consider what you can do if you believe one of them might be Jesus. Thank you and God Bless!

Our Mission

We, the Church of St. Francis de Sales, are a Community of Believers in Jesus Christ called to impact Family, Neighborhood and Society with the Gospel so that people’s lives are filled with Hope.

Nuestra Misión

La Iglesia de San Francisco de Sales, es una Communidad de Creyentes en Cristo Jesús llamado a impactar la Familia, el Barrio y la Sociedad con el Evangelio para que las personas estén llenas de Esperanza.

Physically-able men and older boys are needed to help set-up on Saturday, June 4th, the day before the Parish Festival. Riggers, set-up men and boys will convene in the SFDS courtyard between

the basketball hoops at 9:00 AM on Saturday.

We will set up for Fr. Louis three large shade tents, ballast them with concrete weights; then set-up a lot of (6ft & 8ft) tables and chairs. This operation will take about three hours to complete.
