Members of our large community, myblog followers, and recruiters who have

taken my classes have been asking meabout Sourcing Certifications over thelast two years.

Apparently theres evidence thatexisting certifications do not necessarilymean good performance.

A modern Sourcer needs to excel at all availableresources (not just Google or just Social Networks) and beable to identify and combine the right resources for agiven project.

Modern Recruiters need to be Sourcers as well. They mustbe familiar with the basics of Internet research, no matterwhether they work with sourcers or not.

Sourcers need to have conceptual understanding of thetechnologies behind tools and information.

Sourcers must practice skills they have learned.

Sourcers need to be able to stay up-to-date and modifytheir tools as necessary.

Instead of using the term Sourcing (aswe are used to in recruiting), and per agreat suggestion I got, I will call the

discipline PeopleSourcing (Recruiters call it Sourcing, Candidate

Sourcing, Talent Sourcing, or InternetRecruiting; sales people are not familiar

with the term Sourcing and call itName Generation or LeadGeneration.)

I have now taken the Level II PeopleSourcing trainingby Irina Shamaeva. EXCELLENTI would highlyrecommend it. She has broken down the course intoLevel I and Level II. So that people can start wheretheir skills are today and conceptually understandwhat people-sourcing entails.

As a Level II participant I was able to review all ofLevel I and chose to attend the 4.5 hours of trainingat Level II. For advanced sourcers, Level II was justright offering technical explanations and behind thescenes solutions to utilizing your sourcing data moreefficiently.

In reviewing Level I, I would recommend that courseto EVERY Recruiter using a computer.

Fantastic training, Irina! Thank you for doing this forour industry and giving peoplesourcers a benchmark.

A.Yes! Level 1 is appropriate for truebeginners and old school recruiters.

    A. Great question! The major goal of our certifications is to boost

productivity and to reflect true knowledge andperformance of those who pass the tests.

The material provided will teach attendees tounderstand the principles of peoplesourcingand to stay up-to-date.

The certification program will provide you will asolid foundation to succeed in any of yourpeople sourcing activities.

I do not believe in specialization such as "socialrecruiting" vs. "Internet sourcing"; a true specialistneeds to know it all. Therefore we only offer levels, not specializations

  • 7/31/2019 PeoplesourcingCertifications Info Session

    36/38

    A. We offer hands-on practice (a key to getting

Experts). I will recommend them for futureprojects, including "extra" projects coming myway that I can't accommodate at this time.

This is simply the real deal
