    Applicant Guide

Final assessment interviewThis guide will help you prepare for your final assessment interview.

ApplicationYou need to provide the following information to RICS before your final assessment interview can be arranged:

contact details of an RICS member who is willing to act as your sponsor

The technical competencies you have chosen to be assessed on (follow the guidance given in your pathway guide)

A summary of experience update (optional). This is a single statement of no more than 500 words and is focussed on the experience gained between preliminary assessment and submitting for your final assessment.

You should provide your sponsor with the proposer and sponsor guide so he/she understands his/her responsibilities.

Online ethics moduleOnce you have been confirmed to go forward for the final assessment interview, RICS will send you a personal link and password for the online ethics module.

You must successfully complete the online ethics module to show your understanding of RICS ethical requirements. The module consists of brief ethical scenarios, each of which is followed by five possible solutions. In each case there is one ideal solution; you must select what you consider to be the ideal solution. There is then a test consisting of 20 questions. You must pass this test before your final assessment interview.

Your pass result is valid for 12 months. If you do not pass the final assessment interview within 12 months you will need to retake the ethics module and test.
