ConvertingThe MOLYKOTE compressor product line and technical expertise make conversion from nearly every fl uid technology painless. We have the ability to eliminate the risk of changing lubricants by providing the following:

• Obtain two compressor oil samples; one new, unused oil sample to serve as a benchmark and one sample of oil currently in your compressor for use in assessing the condition of oil in use

• Compressor make and model• Compressor discharge temperature• Verify gas stream – what gas or gasses are being

compressed?

The MOLYKOTE team will take this information and make a professional recommendation for conversion. Primary recommendations include a drain and fi ll for compatible lube technologies in good condition, or a fl ush for incompatible technologies or lubricants displaying signs of severe oxidation, varnishing or contamination. If a fl ush is required, MOLYKOTE® L-4640 High Performance Flush Fluid is a fully formulated compressor fl uid that dissolves varnish and deposits into solution and prepares the system for new oil technology. This fl uid typically completes its function in 300 to 500 hours during which the compressor can be operated at full capacity. This product simplifi es the conversion by allowing the customer fl exibility to schedule the fl ush fl uid change as a planned event, eliminating undesired downtime.
