Innovative Perma-Tork permanent magnet brakes and clutches are
capable of producingaccurate, dependable torquewithout the need of
an external power source. These brakesand clutches use high energy
magnets to establish lines of magnetic force that resist themotion
of the center rotating disc, delivering smooth, precise
control.
Designed for long-lasting, reliable performance, Perma-Tork
brakes and clutches arecommonly used in light torque control
applications, including tensioning, torque limiting,magnetic
coupling and testing. These brakes and clutches are available in
two types:
Hysteresis Torque is infinitely adjustable, with constant torque
provided independentof slip speed. This type offers the smoothest
torque and longest life, making it excellentfor overload and jam
protection.
Magnetic Particle This version features high torques in small
packages. Torque issmooth and adjustable, with constant torque
provided independent of slip speed.
