I was sitting stationary near the intersection of Indiana Av and Louisiana Av , observing the red flashing traffic signal. I

red hatchback was observed East bound on Indiana Av. The vehicle failed to stop or even slow down for the flashing red

traffic signal and continued East bound on Indiana Av. I estimated the speed of the vehicle at 30mph. I stopped the

vehicle and identified the driver as Sommers. Sommers was advised of the violation and he put his head down and

stated I must have been daydreaming. I asked Sommers if he often travels through the intersection and he advised that

he does every day on his way to work at First Solar. Sommers was apologetic for the violation. Sommers was issued

a citation for Failing to Obey a Traffic Control Device.

While on routine patrol I was stopped at a red light on eastbound Roachton Road at SR25. I was in the inside left turn

lane. Ahead of me was a gray Pontiac. Next to both of us on the right, was a commercial tractor trailer. The tractor

was in the outside left turn lane. The two left turn lanes are clearly marked on the pavement. There is also a sign with

a diagram of the lanes, clearly visible off the right side of the roadway as you approach the intersection . When our

traffic signal turned to two green left turn arrows, the gray Pontiac began turning left. In the middle of the turn she

moved into the outer left turn lane. I observed the tractor brake quickly to avoid striking the Pontiac. I stopped the

Pontiac and identified the driver as Phyllis Grams. Grams told me she did not realize it was a double left turn lane. I

issued Grams a citation for ORC 4511.33 Marked Lanes (mm).

A 2012 Chevy Cruze operated by Andrew Katko was eastbound on Roachton Rd. and was stopped at the stop sign at

Ft. Meigs Rd. The Cruze was struck in the rear bumper by a 2000 Ford Escort. The Ford was operated by Emily

Jennings. Jennings stated that she thought the Cruze was going to go through the intersection and moved forward.

There was very little damage to the vehicles. No citation was issued.
