Course Description: The term “branding” is not new, yet never before has branding been more critical to the job seeker than it is now. Whether the job seeker is a student, a career changer, or someone reengaging with work after a layoff, the personal brand is all about who they are and for what they want to be known. Their ability to create a personal brand directly correlates with their success in finding work and higher wages. Employers “Google” job seekers even before they invite them to an interview, which means that they need to be in control of the impressions their brand creates, both online and offline. With the surge of social media, job seekers have not only the ability, but also the very real need to manage their online and real life reputations. This course covers personal branding from A to Z – what it is, why it’s important, and creating and maintaining an online pres- ence. It is packaged so that you can take the information directly to your job seekers or students in a one-to-one or group setting.
