recruited because we feel you can be a positive role model
neither a student nor a teacher – important to have right balance
what is important is students’ respect, not friendship
encourage, guide and inspire, not mark or discipline or counsel
support students in their academic work, not do it for them
As the majority of the students we will be working with will be under 18 years old, they are classed as a ‘vulnerable group’.
You are always supported by staff

There will always be ‘grey’ areas, and if you are not sure, ask.
Is it related to something outside of Summer School? Is it something to do with one of their other subjects? Does it need to be passed on to someone else?
Is it to do with LS? Is it to do with their team project or essay? Is it affecting their or other’s performance on LS?
Are you unsure?
