IEEE802.3af (15.4W per Port)The current IEEE802.3af standard for Power-over-Ethernet was formally approved in2003, defining PoE applications requiring up to 12.95W of power. Phihong’s selection ofIEEE802.3af Power-over-Ethernet midspans and splitters allow users to bring power anddata toanarrayofdeviceswithout theexpenseofhiringanelectrician tobringpower toadditional locations.ShouldthedevicethatneedspowersuchasacameraorVoIPphonenotbePoEcompatible, therearesplittersavailable toseparate thepoweranddatawhilestilleliminatingtheneedforandexpenseofACpoweroutlets.
