AGRICULTURAL MECHANIZATION Agricultural mechanization embraces the manufacture, distribution and operation of tools, implements and machines for land development, agricultural production and primary post production processes. Agricultural mechanization aims to: (1) enable farming operations to be done efficiently; (2) improve the timeliness of operations; (3) minimize drudgery; (4) reduce costs and crop losses; and (5) increase cropping intensity, thereby increasing land and labour productivity.
