Trolleys

All our Hydraulic Trolleys are built with safety in mind including such features as

anti-trapping gaps between the scissors and a deadman's handle on the manual

pump release. All our lifting trolleys are CE safety certified and are finished in high quality

durable coatings as standard.

All our standard trolleys are certified capable of lifting 200kgs (32 stone) as a

minimum and will do this with ease. Our in-house Maintenance Engineers have

often seen competitors' products buckling at a mere 180kgs load or less! Our

heavy duty trolleys are certified to lift either 320kgs (50 stone) or 450kgs (70

stone) depending on what is specified at time of purchase. All short and long top

models can be optionally fitted with scales.

Our Electro Hydraulic versions are operated from a 12v battery and come

complete with charger. A fully charged battery will lift 80kgs over 500 times. All

trolleys are now fitted with ‘Battery Isolator’ switches as well as ‘Stop’ switches

to stop unauthorised use of the Trolley.

Trolleys: Short Top - Electro Hydraulic

Ideal for refrigeration work, coffin storage racks and loading of vehicles. This

Trolley comes in 3-tier or 4-tier versions. The rollers are 2" diameter rubber with

grooves to take trays with 14" runner centres, but wider tops to take 17” and 19”

runner centres can be made to suit your requirements. Models are constructed

in 1.5" square steel tube, 12, 14 and 16 gauge. This trolley runs on 4 x 6"

braked castors and a Standard Trolley will lift 200kgs (32 stone). Available with a 12 volt Electro Unit and Scales are also a cost option. We manufacture both the 3-tier and 4-tier versions in two different heavy duty

versions which are either 320kgs (50 stone) or 450kgs (70 Stone).

We are able to make side loading trolleys, raised roller and side handle

versions.

Trolleys: Short Top - Manual Hydraulic

Our Short Top trolleys are ideal for refrigerator work, coffin storage racks and

loading of vehicles. They have a double acting hydraulic hand pump and come

in 3-tier or 4-tier versions. The standard version will lift 200kgs (32 stone). We manufacture both the 3-tier

and 4-tier versions in optional heavy duty format able to lift 320kgs (50 stone).

Models are constructed in 1.5" square steel tube, 12, 14 and 16 gauge. The

rollers are 2" diameter rubber with grooves to take trays with 14" runner centres,

but wider tops to take 17” and 19” runner centres can be made to suit your

requirements. Runs on 4 x 6" braked castors. We are able to make side loading,

raised roller and side handle versions. Scales are a cost option and can also be

fitted to this unit.

Our Compact Short Top 4 Tier Electro trolley has an under-slung electro unit

and provides an even more manoeuvrable trolley with the added capability of

extending to 4 tiers.

Through Loader - Electro

The 'Through Loader' Scissor Lift Trolley has been designed to allow Trays or

Coffins to be loaded from either end of the Trolley. Where space is a premium it

means the trolley does not have to keep being turned around in order to load.

The trolley can be tailored to suit your needs. The top bed can also be made in

such a way that the loading rollers sit proud of the trolley if required. Available

with or without operators side handle.

Side Loading Trolley – Electro or manual

The side loading trolley and racks work in conjunction with each other providing

storage in situations where a room does not allow conventional end loading

equipment.

The scissor lift trolleys are

available in both manual

and electric pump format.

The operator's handle can

be located on the end or on

the side of the trolley

depending on the user

preference. With the handle

on the end it means the

trolley can be loaded from

either side if there were two

racks opposite each other

for example.

By locating the operator's

handle on the side the

trolley and racks can be

designed so the trolley

stores under the rack when

it’s not in use.

Crematorium Trolleys:

Long Top - Manual & Electro Hydraulic

These models are principally designed for charging into the Cremator. They can

be either 12 volt electro or manual pump operated. They have a standard

overhang of 690mm but can be built to your own requirements. Available in

either 3-Tier or 4-Tier format.

The rollers are two inch diameter steel zinc plated and the trolley runs on 4 x 6”

braked castors. Available in several heavy duty versions including lifting 320kgs

(50 stone) or 450kgs (70 Stone).

Constructed in 1.5" square steel tube 12, 14 and 16 gauge. Hydraulic hand

Crematorium Loader

Our Crematorium Loader is certified to lift 320kgs (50 stone), so is very strong

and robust, yet small and very easy to manoeuvre. The Loader is a smaller

version of our ever-popular scissors lift trolleys. It has all of the safety features

of our larger models but is designed on a smaller scale to provide increased

flexibility of use.

It is principally designed to unload coffins or trays from vehicles, the trolley can

be raised or lowered by a powered electronic actuator and the coffin can then

be lowered onto the fixed stops for safe transportation. An optional extended top

bed version to bridge a Car Bumper is available.

Crematorium Loading Bier

A R Twigg & Son have a long and respected history with Crematoria. During this

time a number of bespoke products including Loading Biers have been

developed for use in Crematoria Chapels.

The Loading Bier shown is used by the CML Group and is made specifically to

their requirements. We are happy to manufacture and design trolleys to suit

your needs. The tops can be made to suit, such as the wooden top as shown or

with rollers or transfer ball tops to allow easy and free movement of Coffins.

Universal Loader

Our unique Universal Loader is certified to lift 320kgs (50 stone), so is very

Compact Lifter

The Compact Lifter is designed to fit into the Twigg product range between the

renowned Universal Loader and the Mortuary Trolley range. The Compact Lifter

is unique in its design as it is so practical and provides an ‘All-in-One’ trolley.

The Compact Lifter offers a solution for customers who have a limited amount of space in their Mortuary in which to operate. It also provides a solution for satellite branches where sometimes the member of staff has to conduct all of the tasks involved at the branch. The new lifter is powered by a 12v Electro hydraulic unit with foot pedal operation to reduce cross contamination.

The two variants have safe working loads of 50 or 70 stone. The unit is available in either black or white finish.

Compact Lifter - Continued

The Compact Loader is designed to be used in both the Mortuary, the Chapel of

Rest and/or at the Church/Crematorium making it an ‘All-in-One’ unit. Not only

will it store underneath the racking system when it is not in use, but it will also

service a 3 tier coffin/mortuary storage rack. The Lifter will also fit under the floor

of a hearse if the situation dictates.

Embalming Trolleys – Manual and Electro

Our electric Embalming Trolley benefits from being only 65 inches long and is

ideal for small mortuaries. It is available in 3 different safe working load variants

– 32 stone, 50 stone and 70 stone. With its clever optional electric foot pedal

operation contamination issues are a thing of the past.

Our trolleys are made bespoke for each customer as everyone’s sluice/sink

heights differ. We make the fixed height handle to suit your requirements and if

extra elevation is required then this has been catered for by the fitment of a

loading bar (not shown).

Top bed side handles can also be fitted to assist with safe sideways movement

of the trolley. Besides locking rollers the top bed can be supplied with a bed

extension bar. This helps to lengthen the top bed to enable coffins to be

secured with pins at both ends if customers have to negotiate ramps between

levels.

New for 2017 – Chilled Storage Rack

The All new Portable Chilled Rack from AR Twigg’s is new for 2017. Utilising the

latest Chiller technology our unit has one of the lowest Global Warming

Potential footprints in the market – 3.

The Rack is designed to be used both indoors and in covered areas outdoors. It

is compatible with existing scissor lift trolleys. The full width shelves allow

storage for both Coffins and Body Storage Trays.

Chilled Storage Rack - Continued

This new Racking system is designed in such a way that up to 3 bays utilise the

one chiller unit. This means the system can be erected to suit the demand

rather than having to have the whole thing up.

When not in use the Racking stacks neatly on top of each other and the covers

come with a special bag to protect them. Front doors are available with or

without handles and the Velcro tabbed name holders provide storage for name

tags and notes.

We really do believe this is the best unit to come to market in recent years.

Storage Racks: Body and Coffin

Our Racks can be used either in, or out of the fridge. They are constructed in 2"

x 1" 16G tube with 2" diameter ball bearing rollers. There are provisions for

screwing to the floor if required. Powder coated finish. Braked castors can be

fitted if required at extra cost. Our unique design means that only a rubber

hammer is required and they take just a few minutes to assemble. They are also

extremely easy to dismantle. Racks can be made 2, 3, 4, or 5 tiers.

Biers: Four Square

Our unique and robust designs together with the quality of manufacture

demonstrate why we are the number one manufacturer for biers. We are the

original designers and original Patent holders for both the 4 Square and

Standard Lattice Biers!

Four Square Bier

A durable bier, designed principally for low line hearses where compactness is

of vital importance. One of its main features is the proven 7 inch diameter

wheels and the cross tube legs which are drilled and tapped for extra safety.

The four carrying handles help you overcome steps. The leatherette cover gives

this bier protection against weather and scratching on the hearse floor. The

coffin supports are welded and the cross tubes are designed and supported by

the X principal making this bier an engineering achievement.
