PHOTOGRAPHIC STYLIST OF THE YEAR 2018 The NHF is really excited to launch its hugely popular Photographic Stylist of the Year competition, open to all hairdressers and barbers at all stages of their careers.Simply take a look at the categories, choose which one is for you, check out the rules and then get entering!

There is no limit to the number of categories you can enter or the number of entries you can put in to each category. Apart from the entry fee, entering should not cost you a penny.

To help, we’ve created some useful hints and tips on how to put together your image or collection at very little or no cost at all.

The closing date for entries is 12 noon on 7 September 2018.

All finalists will be invited to attend the NHF’s Business Awards event on Sunday 4 November 2018 where the winners will be announced.

Winners receive a prize of a toolkit provided by Andis.

suitable for the front cover of a magazine

• Send four high resolutuion portrait images via a file transfer such as WeTransfer. Maximum file size of 10MB for each image (jpeg or tiff)

• Complete the entry form and send everything to the NHF

GENERAL RULES

1. Closing date for entries is 12 noon on 7 September 2018.

2. For the purpose of this competition a ‘professional photographer’ is deemed as a photographer who generates an income from the sale of photographs.

3. Digital adjustments that maintain the integrity of the image is allowed.

4. Judges reserve the right to exclude any image they believe has been excessively manipulated.

5. Judges reserve the right not to make any award if, in their opinion, none of the entries meet the required standard.

6. Photographs or images entered into the competition must not have been previously published in any industry publication (print or online).

7. Black and white images are eligible for all categories.

8. Images submitted on disc must be high resolution JPEG or TIFF (300dpi minimum). Thumbnails or low resolution images will not be accepted.

9. No names of individuals or salons to be shown on the front of any photograph.

10.Judges’ decision is final.
