The Horseshoe point, Colorado river, ArizonaThink native cowboys, ghost towns, great train robberies, infamous
outlaws, and you think of the Arizona you have read of in books. But take
a deep breath, dab on some sun block, put on your best hat and you know
that you’ve stepped into the famous American Wild West, which is famous,
not for its raw ruthlessness, but for its spectacular natural wonders and
feisty living. Hike up Arizona’s orange sand hills and look down from the
dizzying height into the emerald green waters of the Horseshoe River
bend as it heads towards the Grand Canyon.

mountainous areas of the Atlas and
Rif mountain ranges. While the yellow
patches represent the great Sahara
desert, which is mostly uninhabited.
The mountainous areas of present
day Morocco are inhabited by
a semi-nomadic tribe called the
Berber (Imazighen) who have lived
in Morocco for over 4000 years. A
majority of present day Moroccans
are direct descendents of the
Berbers.
In the North, Morocco stretches to
vast expanses of fertile agricultural
lands, forests and lush green
meadows. The proximity of The
Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea has drawn Romans, Arabs, Spaniards and French through the
ages.
Today, travelers and regular visitors open their eyes to a culture and lifestyle they could never experience anywhere else. In the heart of this
strange land, there is something
for everyone. Extreme adventure
seekers swear by the Sahara desert
or high Atlas mountain treks while
sun worshipers relax by the coastal
retreats, but Morocco remains a class
apart. Where else can you get lost in
the narrow winding lanes of medieval
cities full of unusual new sights and
remarkable architecture? Or run
along twisting streets by endless shops
and countless wares? Choose from
an array of spices, ceramic pots,
wooden chests, baskets, perfume,
shoes, kaftans, jewelry to hand woven
carpets. If you are a luxury lover, book
yourself a spot in a Riad, the exotic traditional houses in Marrakech. There are other surprises too. If you are tired, and long for some exclusivity, pay a visit to one of the city’s outstanding
golf courses, superb snow skiing
facilities and soak in the freshness of
a pleasant Mediterranean climate –
Ibn Battuta’s Morocco has it all.
When in Morocco, its mythical spirit
suffices, a world of its own, entrapped
in its own beauty – The Djemaa el
Fna and the captivating souks of
the red medieval city of Marrakech,
the vast sandy beaches of Agadir
and Essaouira, the magnificent
mosques and trendy cafes of
modern Casablanca, the culturally
rich Fez with its mysterious medians,
the international film festivals, the
luxurious traditional houses converted
into exotic hotels and mouth watering
Moroccan food – and gently
embraces you.
In this part of the world the mosques don’t have any onion shaped domes rather they have tall minarets
The Hassan II mosque is the largest mosque in Morocco and the fifth largest mosque in
the world. Here in Casablanca, it stands tall against blue skies.
Living the life of a sea-gypsy in Semporna, Malaysia, requires a love for laziness.

Hiking the
Mystery TrailLush greenness, cool weather, fresh tea, scones, strawberries
and butterfly farms – Cameron Highlands is enough to lure
anyone away from the hustle and bustle of living in central
Kuala Lumpur. Located about 214 kms north of KL city,
in the state of Pahang, Cameron Highlands is the highest
area on the mainland, and one of the few regions that enjoys
lovely, cool weather throughout the year.

A few minutes past six in the morning, the sun rises in the distance and gently
illuminates a magnificent maze of blue - deserts, royalty, craft, and culture. Every
corner of Jodhpur springs alive in breathless beauty and a regal touch of old world
charm. Intrigued by the uniform color of this ancient city, I spiral through winding
lanes and cobbled streets on a journey to the ends of history.
