Problem Statement
Wireless DECT region was configurable, and if misconfigured would cause interference, which is a problem in highly expensive spectrum areas such as Europe and Australia
Solution
As of December, region specific product IDs have been created. These PIDs are locked to the DECT frequency range that is allowed for that region.
The BU and manufacturing been working with customer service to modify orders appropriately
Units in distribution shipped prior to change can still be sold. Existing PID is available on Tier 2 price lists for this reason.
8831 DataSheet has been updated and includes all PIDs: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/collaboration-endpoints/unified-ip-phone-8800-series/data_sheet_c78-726887.html

TC7.3.0 will be the last feature release for C, EX and MX-Series (G1), which means that there will be only bug-fixes going forward. TC7.3.x will be the highest software version for the above systems.
CE8.0 onwards will be only for the new endpoint portfolio (SX10, SX20 based, SX80 based) and will remove some legacy features while providing new functionality based on the new hardware.

32
SX80/MX700/MX800 • SIP and H323 dual registration has been re-introduced
Due to existing dual registration environments, H323 and SIP dual
registration has been added to SX80 in TC7.3.0 to provide customers a smoother transition to SIP only. This feature is already supported on different existing hardware platforms (C-series, EX-series, MX G1 series) and means that the system can be registered, make and receive calls on SIP and H323 at the same time.
Note: registering a system with Unified CM and an H.323 Gatekeeper simultaneously is not supported. Dual registration is for users of VCS who wish to have both protocols registered simultaneously.
33
SX80/MX700/MX800 • Multiway support
Multiway support has been added due to the same reasons stated above. Multiway is already supported on different exisiting hardware platforms.
xConfiguration Conference[1] Multipoint Mode: <Auto, Off, MultiSite,
MultiWay, CUCMMediaResourceGroupList>
• Audio Add-on
One additional audio call may be added when all supported video connections are used.
• Dual presentation support out of call (see next slides)
34
Dual presentation out of Call (SX80/MX700/MX800) Following this I connect the VGA connector I have to the codec. The VGA source is now displayed on
the left monitor and the previous source (HDMI) is shown on the left monitor
35
Snap to Whiteboard (Speaker track)
This is a feature that lets you define where a whiteboard is in a room so that the system will frame
the entire whiteboard when someone is standing up and using it rather than just zooming in on the user and missing what is being displayed on the board.
There is a one time wizard setup for this that can be found under Settings -> Administrator ->
Tracking -> Configure Snap to Whiteboard and you can also enable or disable this feature from here as well…
36
New OSD support for SX20
If you pair a touch panel to SX20 (Touch 8 or 10) you will get the new OSD.
This is the same OSD as used on the SX10 and SX80/MX700/800.
Old OSD New OSD
37
SX10
• Ad-hoc conferencing support
xConfiguration Conference[1] Multipoint Mode: <CUCMMediaResourceGroupList>
SX10 is now able to utilize the CUCMMediaResourceGroupList for ad-hoc conferences.
• Extension Mobility support
Extension mobility is supported on SX10 from TC7.3. EM is fully managed by CUCM and no further configuration on the codec is required.
• Proximity content support
Proximity content support for SX10 is added in TC7.3
• OBTP support
One Button To Push information and join option is available through the OSD with the TRC6 remote.
• Overscan support for OSD (should be used as last resort, try TV menu settings first)
38
Local Only Preview in Call • If you connect a PC while in a call or have a source connected and previewing before the call you will
get a PIP preview of the source when the call connects which does time out after a while
• On the touch interface you get the option to share (present) the source to the far end immediately
• If however you press the “…” you now get a Preview button to see content locally without sharing
39
Websnapshot Enhancement
• Websnapshots can be enabled remotely, however users on the system
will get warning that they are being monitoring if they are viewed – It is
not possible to disable this (privacy issues) and only happens when
someone is actively viewing – e.g. Previewing source in the call control
screen on the web interface
• Indicator to pop up on screen when web snapshots are taken.
This is to warn the user that the meeting is being monitored by the
admin
• Within the Call control screen there will be a warning to the admin
telling them that users of the system will be notified of monitoring
• The system will log when a web snapshot is taken, as well as the IP
address of the system from where it was initiated.
40
Web Snapshots (enabled)
If web snapshots are enabled and you enter the call control interface you will see a
warning that users will be informed they are being monitored
41
Web Snapshots
42
