There are 20 young boys and girls from Sansuk, Sanjai Villages, Santikiri School and DEPDC joined the media training on “Handmade book” during 28-31 March 2011 at Nattiphol Resort, Chiang Rai
The young boys and girls started to know each other by divided for a pair
and interview the partner in personal information such as name, favorite foods, songs and etc. To introduction of their partners lead in basic interview and remember in detail what we have asked.
Apiradee started to introduce resource persons and staffs following by Pornlerd, a Professional Columnist Magazine conducted in Magazine Introduction, Type of magazine, Difference in writing such as scoop, article, press release by following the principle writing:
- Who- What- When - Where- Why
In the afternoon session, Pattapong and Anurak trained in Photo shooting. How to take good photos, Rule of taking photo and how to combine the photo with the content to the magazine. Additional, taking individual photo and using mobile phone for taking photo and recording.

The coffee group selected the most famous coffee shop for interview
3. Restaurant
The own restaurant muslim women presented the famous foods from her menu to the kids in “restaurant” group.
4. Cultural in Mae Salong Nok
The “Cultural” group interviewed a young lady on their life at Mae Salong Nok.
We divided in 4 groups, 5 persons in each group to interview and take photo in Nattiphol Resort.

At night, we reviewed and commented on their photo pictures.
March 29, 2011The youth presented their writing on the first day and reflected on obstacle of writing such as they could not have cooperate from the interviewee, not allowed to use the real name of interviewee, they could not catch up the interview and do not know how to
write. However, they started to understand the meaning of “Magazine” and how to create the story and write a good story align with good photos.
Pornlerd continued on writing literacy especially how to interview people to get a good story and take good photo for magazine.
The 4 groups back to revise their stories and presented again to the resource persons for comments. We also added content on photo coverage for the book and let the youth to create in topic stories which will be presented later.

We started early morning to prepare information to youth in order to collect a story referred 4 topics from yesterday. The youth selected their leader in order to look after the group as same as the staffs which divided to be a chaperon.
The “Tea” group started to interview
and collect information about tea withthe owner tea shop and continued to take photo how to collect tea leaf and send to the factory for further process.
The “Coffee” group started to selected “Sweet Mae Salong”,the most famous coffee shop at here. The kids interviewed with the owner and customers visited and drink the coffee.
The “Restaurant” group selected bakery shop and muslim restaurant presented the local food and unique meals at Mae Salongnok (Below).
The final group “Cultural” interviewed 2 different generations live at Mae Salongnok.
The kids back to the resort and started writing and presented the concept, style and stories of their books before leave for home.

Meesa Chamergkoo, a young 18 years old girl from
Santikiri School said “I was glad to join the activity, it
is very useful for me to develop in writing skill and use
technology to present as a book”
