Plants Give Us Medicines Over ½ of medicines are used

from plant parts. Medicines are used to help heal

and cure illnesses and diseases.

that come from a plant. We eat the stems, roots, leaves,

flowers, and seeds of a food.

breathe without air.

place to live. Birds live in tree branches. Owls live in tree trunks. Monkeys use branches to escape

from predators.
