The beginning a report is called it’s introduction.

This is a very important part of the report! It also must announce the topic of your report. You want to draw your readers in! Ways to draw readers in with your introduction: 1. Ask a Question: “Have you ever wondered

about…..?”2. Tell an amazing fact! 3. Use sounds and effects: “WHAM! The basketball

slammed into the hoop!” 4. Use a quote you found while researching

As you begin drafting your report, there are two

things we want you to keep in mind as you write: 1. Good writers do not write in FRAGMENTS:

your plan. Mark them all complete. Have your draft written by our Dec. 10th class. Come to class December 10th and learn how edit and

revise our report! Also complete your study topic: Fragments and Run

on’s

Nothing has to be turned into us until January 9th remember, but we are going through the writing process with you on this assignment!
