To STOP somebody from doing something, we can use present tense:

‘Stop’ + ‘ing’ verbe.g. Stop running!

‘Stop’ + ‘ing’ verb+ (object)e.g. Stop looking at me!

Language Point

‘Don’t’ + base form of a verb e.g. Don’t run!

‘Don’t’ + base form of a verb + (object) e.g. Don’t look at me!

★ DO NOT add any subject to the sentence

e.g. You stop running! You don’t run!
