• While many literary theories are not explicitly political, all literary theories are subject and permeated by the political and social ideologies of their days; therefore, it is those who attempt to be explicitly non-political and objective who do the most harm by disguising ideology as science.

• It is this inseparable connection between the world of politics and the world of literature which gives literary theory its importance in an age of seemingly imminent nuclear holocaust and severe economic and social injustice

• Politic is serious. It is the arena in which the fundamental bread-and-butter struggles of men, of groups, of nations, of social classes are conducted.

• The person who is frivolous about politic often being unfair to his fellow-men, especially in times of deep social crisis.

• The problems of politic are, basically, concerned with action and with power.

happened between the Coloured and White.

Marxism• Political is linked to social. Therefore, Marxism theory

can be used. This is because Marxism emphasizes on class conflict which indirectly connected to management of politic.

• Marxist theorists use traditional techniques of literary analysis but subordinate aesthetic concerns to the final social and political meanings of literature.

• Marxist theorist often champion authors sympathetic to the working classes and authors whose work challenges economic equalities found in capitalist societies.
