Develop and Implement A Robust Speaker Diarization System for Different Dataset

M.E Major Project, Mr. Bilal A. Shah, Sc ‘C’, Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, DRDO, Bangalore. Speaker Diarization comprises of two major task

Speaker segmentation: speaker segmentation is the task of detecting speaker change points

(time) that partition the input audio file into segments such that each segment contains the

speech from only a single individual. It is completely unsupervised task, where no prior

information about number of speakers and speaker identity is required.

Speaker clustering: It is the task of detecting and gathering all the segments uttered by the

same speaker.

For the ease of operation proper GUI has been built and also separate library of Matlab functions related Speaker Diarization have been developed.

Publications

Develop and Implement A Robust Voice/Music Separation System

REPET (Repeating Pattern Extraction Technique) has been used to separate background music

from foreground voice part. The system is developed in Matlab and GUI is developed for the better

understanding of users.

Industrial Automation through AC Power line Modem.

In this project A power line modem has been used which includes power line cable as a communication medium. The modem at the transmission end modulates the signal from data terminal through RS-232 interface into a carrier signal in the power line. At the receiving end, the modem recovers the data from the power line carrier signal by demodulation and sends the data to data terminals through RS-232 interface. Training/Workshops Attended One year research in “Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotic lab in DRDO Bangalore,

Karnataka” on the topic “Speaker Diarization” Supervised by Mr. Bilal A. Shah Sc “C” in CAIR Lab. DRDO Bangalore.

Workshop on “Fiber Optic Communication” in BSNL, Pune.
