Rumah susun sederhana sewa (Rusunawa ) Balubur is located in an high density area in Bandung. This Ru-sunawa contains of 700 unit rooms for low income family only.
Final Project : High Density Housing
The project is located in the high density area, Tamansari vil-lage, Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. This high density area need a renewal to settle many slum area problem such as the lack of public space, ineffectiveness of land use and bad quality of environment.Vertical Housing is the solution I choose to solve those isues. There are two types of vertical housing in this project. Those are Rumah susun sederhana sewa (Rusunawa), middle rise housing for low income family and high rise housing (apartment) for college student in Bandung. Cross subsidy between them is the funding system for establishing public spaces in the area. Public space is a concern in this project becausebecause it will maintain the existing of social cohesion in so-ciety.The apartment and rusunawa can resettle 332 residential units with various types of units. This capacity is almost two times more than before that can accommodate only 175 family on around 33 houses.
