+Guarded

This shot of my dog at a young age was especially interesting to me because of the intensity of his eyes.

+First to Fall

This leaf caught my eye when I was outside during a warm fall day in New Hampshire. The natural light that came through the pine trees illuminated this particular leaf perfectly.

+On Track

This picture of the 200-year-old barn attached to my house shows the worn runners of the massive sliding door and how the rust has bled onto the paint.

+Love & Hate

I took this photograph of my father while doing an assignment for the Valley News. The amount of hours he spent on that fence were uncountable.

+Latched

This close-up of the latch that once held the gate of that old picket fence outside my house shows the many layers of paint that had been applied to the wooden slats over the years.

+Tom Sawyer

This was another photo I took of my father while taking pictures for the Valley News. He only had one picket left, or so he thought. A week later a storm knocked the whole section over, putting my dad back to work.

+Day Dreaming

This photograph I took while on assignment for Vital Communities, a non-profit that was hosting a farmers market in my town. This young boy knew the perfect way to spend a beautiful day in New Hampshire.

I snapped this photograph when I was taking pictures for Vital Communities. This cow was breathing down my neck. She wanted so much attention, eventually I had to take her photograph, and I’m glad I did.

+Autumn Crevice

This used to be a very elegant table in my back yard, but the harsh winter of New England makes even the strongest of wood crack and fall away.

+Specks

This bowl I made during one of my pottery classes. I especially like how the glaze came out.

+Shock & Awe

Changing the point of focus, this photograph shows the reaction of the spectators at Whaleback Mountain, a ski area in Enfield, New Hampshire.

+Barking Up

This photograph I took outside my house two years ago. The texture of the bark on this tree made me think of which angle to snap the photograph from.

+Disco Jelly

I took this photo at the Boston Aquarium while I was there visiting. The flash emphasizes the reflectors on the jellyfish’s head. I entered this particular photograph in a juried competition in White River Junction, Vermont. It made it onto the top 10 list for all the teenage photographers in the competition.
