To whom it may concern, Martje has been an intern at our design studio for the past 6 months, I have been Martje’s direct supervisor at Studio Roex. During that time we worked together closely on several design projects, so I have learned a great deal about her and her abilities. During the time I have known Martje, she has distinguished herself as a pro-‐active, open minded and highly motivated intern in the field of research and design. During her internship Martje worked on a sustainable design project: working with natural materials and based on production methods with respect for people and planet. The project involved working with a Indonesian terracotta workshop for the production of our products. Martje will bring her experience in design projects, research and development and an entrepreneurial mindset: she has many ideas and is not afraid of realizing them. Just as importantly, she would come with an enthusiasm for both learning and international networking, as well as a resolute desire to understand new theories and ideas. The internship at our studio was for Martje also a step to get a closer look into daily business of a small design studio -‐ with the ambition to start up an own company in the future. Martje's sensitivity, open-‐minded and positive approach and sense of humor made working with her a joy. She was a valuable asset to our team. Therefore I highly recommend Martje. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at the above address. Sincerely, Jeske Kapitein Co-‐owner/Business partner Studio Roex
