It was estab- lished in February 2001 to support research into the causes of multiple sclerosis and to accelerate the deve- lopment of effective thera- pies, by using innovative sta- tistical methods and state- of-the art computer techno- logy combined with medical expertise. The Centre has been supported by data donors – pharmaceutical companies and individual clinical investigators – who have already contributed 50 datasets from essentially all clinical trials and natural history studies that have been done in MS over the past 20 years.
