Five Fun facts about us

1. We love Disney World. {Can't you tell?} Who doesn't like Mickey Mouse, right?

2. We love to travel and vacation in AWESOME places. Again, who doesn't? Top places we have been so far? Hawaii, Puerto Rico, New York City, England and Ireland.

3. We love chocolate. We've never met a chocolate we didn't like. Chocolate cheesecake? Check. Chocolate covered graham crackers? Check. Double chocolate mint oreo blizzard? Check check check. Smores? Oh yeah. We think you get the message.

4. We ballroom dance. Yes, that's right, just like Dancing with the Stars minus the "celebriquarium"... The foxtrot and the waltz are my favorites. Dave likes the salsa and the cha-cha-cha.

5. We both believe in the healing power of music. Music is a staple in our lives. If we aren't listening to music, going to concerts, or watching them on tv, we are playing instruments. Dave drums and plays the guitar. I have a music degree with a concentration in piano, organ & flute. I love to sing too, and will probably sing along during your wedding songs at the ceremony and reception! :)

How we got started:

How did we get to be wedding photographers?  Well....  Sara and I were always the pesky family members that photographed everything- birthdays, holidays and special gatherings.  We always had our point and shoot cameras with us. {Sara and Dave, will you be at the birthday party? Oh, and you will bring your cameras, so you can take pictures, right?  Of course we will...} Then came the year when my sister's friend was getting married. So my sister asked us if we would take lots of pictures during her friend's wedding.  We thought, of course we would take lots of pictures... We ALWAYS take lots of pictures!  My sister then came to me about a month later saying that she asked my cousin if we could borrow his Canon 20D so that we had a more professional camera to take pictures during the wedding.  She asked me, would you mind using his camera? Of course I wouldn't mind using an awesome, expensive camera, as long as he didn't care If we borrowed it...  Sara and I didn't know what we really were getting into.

A few days before the wedding day, my sister called me up, asking, so are you nervous?  Nervous about what, I said...  Nervous about being the photographer for my friend's wedding.  Then I said... WHAT? I thought she had a photographer, but you wanted me to take a lot of pictures so she had a lot of extra pictures!  No, you are the photographer.  She decided to get a videographer and have you as the photographer.  Oh my, oh my... The day before the wedding, I am freaking out trying to figure out how to use my cousin's camera.  I better give him a call, but when I talked to him, he said I don't know how to use all the controls on the camera.  Just put the camera in auto and start snapping away!

Long story short, everyone loved them and said you should do this full-time.  Sara and I did have a great time working as a team on the wedding and we loved photography, so we started taking photography classes to really learn the camera and about wedding photography.  It worked out for my sister's friend for her wedding, but you really shouldn't hire a friend unless they are a professional wedding photographer.  Think about it, it is your wedding day... It only happens once!

Well, I should thank my sister for stressing me out, and I should thank my cousin for letting me borrow his camera because that is how "Magic Your Way Weddings & Photography, LLC." started....

SESSION | Your session will last anywhere from 1.5 - 2 hours on location of your choice. If you are having trouble finding the perfect setting for your session, no worries we will help you find the perfect location for you. The session fee includes our time on the day of your session, professional editing of all your images and an online gallery for you, your family and friends to share, view and order professional prints.

Price: 200 + Tax

DIGITAL FILES | If you would like to own all of your images from your lifestyle or senior portrait session you can choose to add the download option to your session. The digital files option will let you download your high resolution files right to your pc/mac, iPad, iPhone or other mobile device. There is no waiting for a cd to be shipped to your door. You will have access to all your images as soon as your images are ready!

ACCORDION MINI’S | One of our most popular products are the mini accordion books. It comes with {2} 2x3 books with a frosted sleeve to protect the book when storing away. They are custom designed and and have about 6 - 8 images in the design. They are great for mom and dad or anyone of the family that you would like to give as a gift.
