The role is responsible for leading and managing the Learning & Development Team in the design and delivery of quality learning and development solutions that meet individual and organisational needs. This role owns, develops and leads a dynamic plan focused on ensuring that RAQ employees are a highly capable workforce with the skills to meet the organisations strategic directions. Planning, Identification & Review

Reporting and Recording

Conduct audits relevant to professional development by gathering, collating, analysing and reporting on data and advising on applicable metrics to monitor and continuously improve learning at RAQ.

Monitor the recording of employee attendance at professional development activities, including creating and maintaining attendance records and attendance certificates.

Creation of Learning Resources

Manage course development and deliver projects in collaboration with internal employees and external providers.

Develop, implement and evaluate packages that are engaging, support internal learning, and where possible are delivered via an online learning system.

Consider learning objectives, consult with subject matter experts and source relevant information to develop relevant and contemporary content.

Contribute to the identification and design of tools to automate and streamline processes within the Learning and Development team and when connecting with the broader organisation.

Train and supervise employees in the development of e-learning skills to better allow them to create their own e-learning packages.

Design and develop technical documentation and user manuals ensuring ease of use.

Review existing documentation stored within the document information system and create new documentation when relevant.

Other Organisational Responsibilities

Draft documentation to secure funds both within the organisation and available from external sources that will assist in RAQ meeting ongoing professional development needs.

Adhere to all organisational policies, procedures, standards and practices.

About You To be successful in this position you will have:

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification/s in Education or Human Resources.

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Project Management.

Experience Demonstrated ability to lead performance through setting clear direction and expectations.

Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering learning strategies.

Experience in planning and executing learning and development projects.

Strong experience in leadership and management programs.

Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering presentations, learning and development programs and facilitating groups for a wide audience including senior managers.

Previous exposure to, and experience with capability frameworks.

Knowledge Knowledge of adult learning principles and theories.

Knowledge of instructional design principles.

Knowledge of project lifecycle phases.

A sound knowledge of the Not-for-Profit sector, the Australian Government Department of Social Services and Department of Human Services.

Skills

Solid leadership and emotional intelligence skills, with demonstrated ability to engage others, influence organisational culture and provide direction.

Skilled at coaching others, supporting them to identify development areas.

Ability to identify opportunities for change and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
