What are nouns?A noun is a part of speech that describes a person, place, or thing.
What is a possessive noun?A possessive noun is a noun that "owns" something else in the sentence.
The dog's collar is beautiful.It tells you that the noun "collar" belongs to the dog.
The dogs collars are beautiful.It tells you that the "collars" belong to the dogs.
The childrens winter wear keeps them warmchildren + 'sAdd only the apostrophe (') to the end of a plural noun that ends with an s.
Examples:James pencils are new.Jamess pencils are new.NOTE: If the noun is singular and ends with an s, add 's or add only the apostrophe (').
