PADDINGTONS ETIOLOGICAL COMMUNITYFUTURE SCENARIOS
After the final crit this week I was really happy with my feedback. Brett and our guest were pleased with my work and they gave me some really great feedback for developing my design further.
They spoke about the possibility of moving one of the ‘fingers’ out, in order to create a larger space for entering the green bridge above. I think this is a great suggestion, access to the bridge was a bit of an Issue so I the removal of one of the finger modules would create a large space that gives the user a wide open space and creates a direct access point to the cultivation space above.
They also spoke about the possibility of moving the ‘finger like modules’ around and pushing them out towards the western site boundary. I have continued to play with these possibilities and these images illustrate the process.
I think the use of the physical model in my presentation really helped to give an idea of scale and how each module creates a small laneway space in between one another.
The project has a number of possibilities for development and I think during the holidays I will continue to slowly develop it further and update my blog continuously.
EXPERIMENTATION WITH EXTRACTION
EXTRACTION OF A SINGLE MODULE TO CREATE AN OPEN SPACE AND THOUROUGHFARE
EXTRACTION AND MOVEMENT OF THE LAST MODULE TO HELP PUSH THE BUILDINGS WESTERN FACADE OUTWARDS. THIS CRE-ATES A NEW TYPE OF SPACE WITHIN AND AROUND THE NEW MODULE THAT JUTS OUT TOWARDS THE ROAD ON THE SITES WEST-ERN BOUNDARY.
MOVEMENT OF MODULE TO CREATE SPACE WITHIN THE BUILDING. ALTERING THE ACCESS ROUTES TO THE GREEN SPACE ABOVE.
