Adopt a Whale!

1 Whales were once hunted by many people. Humans used whales to make many

important things. Humans would use the whales for food. They also used whales to make

lamp oil and soap.

2 Today, hunting whales is prohibited in many countries. Whales are in danger of

disappearing from the Earth. Now many people want to protect these beautiful and highly

intelligent creatures.

3 How can YOU help? Adopt a whale! You can help people save our whales.

4 How does it work?

5 People are asked to donate money. The money is used to help pay for supplies and

people that work helping the whales. The workers job is to save the whales and clean the

oceans where they live. If we dont take care of the oceans, whales will lose their homes

forever.

6 If you want to help, ask your librarian or teacher for more information.
