In case you missed it, last month pharmacy giant CVS announced it
would terminate access to more than 30 new medications in 2017,
including groundbreaking cancer and diabetes drugs. Shortly after the
CVS announcement, Express Scripts – the nation’s dominant pharmacy
benefits manager – followed suit with its list of drugs to be dropped in
2017.

“A family member told me about your card. She said it is a God send for
her. I don't belong to any organization but I need your card. I am 60,
deaf & disabled. I am on social security disability & a small pension. I
have insurance, but I am currently in the donut hole. Last year I did
without 8 of my meds for 3 mths. because I couldn't afford them. I have
lupus, diabetes, high blood pressure & a few other issues. The outcome
of that decision last year was not good & health wise I am still paying for

“I was in a restaurant off the beaten path of I-77 last Wednesday
morning meeting with a brother from Idaho. When the waitress had
already brought our breakfast over, I asked her if she needed some
FREE assistance with any medications in her family. Her face lit up
with a resounding YES. I gave her 3 cards and then she came back
for more explaining that a worker in the back was taking numerous
meds and needed help. I gave her four more and stated, "If you

I got a call from a lady who wanted me to tell her the price of her medicine
with the Good Rx discount. Naturally I had to tell her that we were not
Good Rx but that I could give her a price using the America’s Drug Card.
By the time we were done this is what she had to say “I am so impressed
that there was a live person to talk to me and help me and I especially like
that I don’t have to continue going back to their website for “coupons”.
With your one card I will be able to get a discount for all my medicines. I
don’t need Good Rx anymore. Thank you so much!”

I got a call from a cardholder asking me to check the price
of Xifaxan 550 mg. She was told by the pharmacy that it
cost $2500 and she wanted to know how much it would
cost with the discount card?
The price came up at $1,842.58 with the discount card!
A savings of 26%!!

I got a call from a Rep regarding a drug that a family member
needed. She said it costs $1,700.00 without insurance. Luckily
they have insurance but if they hadn’t had insurance this is what
the meds would cost with our card.

OCTOBER SURPRISE FOR
OBAMACARE
In just a few months, millions of Americans shopping on Obamacare’s insurance
exchanges will discover some unfortunate news about the cost of their policies for
next year.
According to the latest data, insurers have requested average rate hikes of nearly
24 percent. Those that regulators have already approved average 17 percent.
Notification of these increases for 2017 is likely to arrive in consumers’ mailboxes
at an inopportune time for lawmakers who support the president’s healthcare law
— just before Election Day.
Obamacare’s exchanges are collapsing. Sixteen of 23 state-sponsored CO-OP
health plans created by Obamacare have failed. Insurers — including the largest,
UnitedHealth, and the third-largest, Aetna AET +0.32% — are fleeing. Those that
remain are demanding premiums so high that many people may well decide to flee
the exchanges themselves — and pay a penalty of the greater of $695 or 2.5
percent of income.

If that happens, a new Congress and new president will have quite the
mess to clean up.
Residents of some states may look upon a 24 percent hike as a bargain.
Arizona’s two largest insurers, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Phoenix Health
Plans, are asking for rate hikes of over 60 percent. The two companies
cover 88 percent of the state’s exchange customers.
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee, which covers 73 percent of that
state’s exchange customers, requested a 63 percent premium increase.
Why the sudden jump? Not enough people are enrolling in the exchanges,
particularly the young and healthy. The exchanges have enrolled 11.1
million — about half what the Congressional Budget Office forecast for this

CONVENTION
Those of you who will be attending our convention this year already know that
because of hurricane Matthew the convention was postponed from the first week in
October to the first week in December. I want to thank everyone who made this
change possible by rescheduling your vacation or personal time to attend. Believe
it or not we actually have more people coming in December than were attending in
October.
I visited the Atlantis this past weekend and can assure you that it is fully
functioning and all aspects of the Atlantis are up and running smoothly.
I want to also personally thank Claudia from our staff for the tremendous work and
effort she had to put forth to cancel all the flights and then reschedule them all
within a weeks time.

offer suggestions on how we
can improve our drug card
business.
Some of the suggestions
have already been put in
place. Such as offering active
or retire military and their

join our organization for the

currently being worked on

recruit new reps. Even though this is not a new
concept and we have tried many things in the past, it
is very important to the company and to you as a rep

organization. We have 5 people on the committee to
review the ideas and determine which idea will be
