~ Message from a Leader ~

What a busy time for the Stark County community! This week honors the 2017 inductees into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. They are honored for their outstanding accomplishments on the grid iron.

Take a moment to consider this, what if your entering the heavenly kingdom was dependent on your athletic ability. Or how about your past earthly accomplishments, and furthermore, was voted on by your peers. Would you make the cut?

We must thank God that our ability to enter heaven is not determined by our accomplishments or popularity; but is made possible by the grace of God and his son, Jesus Christ’s ultimate sacrifice on the cross. In Ephesians 2:8-9 For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift not from works, so that no one can boast.

                                                                                                          Sincerely,

                                                                            Scott Sanders

~Core Doctrine Points~

We practice baptism by immersion.

*We find baptism to be both commanded and exampled by the Lord.

*We believe the meaning of the word ‘baptism’ is ‘immersion’, that the practice described in the New Testament was immersion, and find no reason to change that form.
